@@DTXBrian A significant portion of the population still thinks that this damage is a load of manure, or that it's Someone Else's Problem™. Or that the planet will magically fix itself without bothering us "like it always has"... conveniently ignoring the fact that unless we do something to help, that whole 'fixing itself' thing could very well involve a dramatic enough climatic event that we will cease to exist. Or that the planet itself could simply cease being able to support life. It's... people don't want to accept that mere humans could have caused things to get as bad as they are. It's taken me over a decade to get my very intelligent father to listen about the fact that the "geologists" he keeps hearing on the news decrying it as fake are more full of shit than the local politicians, and that all signs geologically point to the fact we're charging headlong over a cliff.

I feel the same exact way about my two thousand twelve Chevrolet Sonic LTZ. Its not crazy powerful, but its a manual shifter, fun to drive little turbocharged that does exactly what I want and need it to do. Its fun to drive through canyons, or is quite happy to just go and go and go on the freeway for hours on road trips. I've taken it up California to San Jose, down to San Diego, out of state to Reno, hauled sixteen foot lengths of baseboard trim through the passenger window and out the back, hauled long ladders out of the back, carried four other friends in it, and even weekly take it on dirt roads up to a dust monitor site on a gold mine where it has no rightful place of being and it only just passed a hundred thousand miles. This is the longest I've ever had a car, and its the first one I've truly owned as its paid off and is mine, and I intend to keep it until it dies because it was well before all that intrusive bullshit cars come with now and there's no reason a hatchback needs a backup camera.

I've also recently started getting water in the spare tire well. When the car was still new'ish, I had passenger front skirt cover come off somewhere and a clip holding the rear diffuser panel to the bottom of the car come off causing it to hang. I repaired both issues. I've still not repaired the clicking blend door. Car still runs great.

Just found your channel recently but really enjoy the videos. Have had a Fiesta since 2016, started with a new 1.0L SFE when I had 4 hours of commuting every day, then upgraded to a used 2016 ST in Dec 2019. I will likely keep it forever, it will continue to be my daily until some small EV hatch like a bolt or leaf get cheap enough.

Small and quick cars are the best! Especially if you have a touch of torque steer to keep you on your toes. Lol I have a Chevy Spark EV and it's an absolute blast to drive thanks to it's 327 lb-ft of torque and 0-60mph in 7.2 seconds. If you're ever in Idaho I'd be more than happy to let you make a video on it. Admittedly not as quirky as the other EVs you've reviewed, but it fits perfectly between those and your Fiesta.

I am at about 84,000 miles on my Fiesta St, and so far my biggest complaint is the wheels as well. When I lived in the midwest I had a set of winter wheels that were smaller and had a taller sidewall. They really helped smooth out the ride (in the winter). When you hit a pothole... pretty much ANY pothole, you feel it in your soul. I have blown out two tires already, and my wheels are curbed all to hell. Not because of actually curbing them, but rather from the impact of the rim of the wheel on the edge of the pothole. At some point I will probably "upgrade" to 16 or 15" wheels with fat wide rubber, but not anytime soon.

Bought my 2017 FiST brand new off the lot after trading in my 2015 5.0 Mustang GT and never looked back. Love this little car so much. The blend door actuator click is the song of my people. Its actually really annoying, but its one of the few flaws with it, that and the thin as hell paint job Ford does on these. Only thing I miss is that engine note from the 5.0, but I will get something rumbly again, in addition to this car instead of trading it in.

This car basically has 100,000 beat on miles. Every fiesta st gets driven hard when driven. I’d like to see a civic get driven like a race car from lot to 100k miles and see what has happened, we know for a fact the clearcoat will be gone by year 3. Couple broken door handles, window motors, interior panels falling off,Ceiling liner peeling, airbags replacement etc. I used to be Jdm and euro only but this single car is designed perfectly gotta give credit where it’s due.

Got the first speeding ticket, in over 21 years, in June 2015. Other than the same AC clicking, the car still runs like a champ and has provided the nimbleness, power, and speed to get out of some pretty goofy highway driving situations.

Good review. I’d like to share my review on 2 Fiesta ST’s that I’ve owned starting with my 2016 Kona Blue FiST. I bought my 16’ (base model) new for $17, 073. I put 70,000 miles on it and the only problem it had was a bum radiator. On a hot summer day it went into limp-mode (around 10,000 miles), took it to a dealer to find out that the radiator was defective from the factory. They replaced the radiator with one that wasn’t defective... no problems since. The 16’ never did the funny fuel-up thing, and it ran strong for a stock engine. Only 2 mods: a used Boomba BOV adaptor ($20), and a new COBB RMM. Shortly after I bought the 16’ my wife picked up a new 17’ Magnetic Gray (base model) $18,204 with 0% interest. This one ended up being modified (Stage 2, custom E30 tune, FSWerks short shift, RMM, and Pierce Motorsports 2-point chassis brace)... the car is actually fast on E30. The only problem I’ve had was the clicking blend door problem, but it happened at 30,000 miles and was fixed under warranty. The 17’ has 60,000 miles on it now with no problems besides the funny fuel-up thing.
