One critical leak area you didn't show sealing are the bolt threads for the sandwich plate bolts that go inside the lower pan. Oil wicks up the threads and leaks out the top of the threads where they penetrate to outside of the block. Jaguar service bulletin 12-53 says to use Loctite 545 to seal the treads, after making sure the bolt and block threads are solvent cleaned. I'm also surprised you are not using the updated "Gortex" gaskets and the appropriate fasteners for the valve covers, sandwich plate, oil pan, oil filter housing, waterpump, etc. All of that information is in Service bulletin 12-35 dated 8/92. AFAIK, they need to be ordered separately, as none of the sets contain the updated gaskets. They are all installed dry (no sealant), and do a really good job of preventing leaks long term. They don't shrink in storage, and issue with the paper gaskets you already mentioned. The improved fasteners are a big part of it as they are designed to prevent loosening and relaxing torque. While ordering the fasteners individually from Jaguar can get expensive, order one of each, and match them up from McMaster-Carr, and you'll save a ton of money. Please consider this constructive criticism; I'm really enjoying this series, as it gives insights and details not seen elsewhere. Keep it up.

It was in the time lapse part I. believe. I stuck it to the sandwich plate prior to installation and it wasn't visible. Should have added a caption.
