Absolutely love it but here comes a big problem. Which one should I pick? BB54 vs BB58. The T-fit is a not a huge advantage for me cuz I am a clinically diagnosed vintage maniac. I actually like the old clasp better. Help~ I’m pulling my hair!

The biggest myth about watches that people need to understand - there is not a perfect watch. It’s all subjective. People will always complain about something. Previously some complained that you didn’t have a quick adjustment on the bracelet. Now when we have T-fit, I have read comments saying we need more space to adjust. This is freaking ridiculous to me. Same thing with the rivets, dial etc. Sunday rant over! 😂

Having this watch, the dial looks basically matte black until it catches the sun. Coming from the matte black on my bb36 I thought this would be something Id miss but the thing looks freaking beautiful outside. I do not like flashy things but I can tell you this is low key yet stunning. The changes in color across the dial is something I did not know was possible. Freaking perfect imo.

I love my BB54. With my 7.25in wrist I never bought, or even tried on anything less than 39mm. But I loved the look of this watch so much, I just had to go and try it on. A tip I picked up before I went to see it, was not to put any other watch on my wrist that day. And certainly, not wear a watch to the store. Using this technique, I went in not having any other size watch visualised on my wrist. Hence to say, I loved it so much that I bought it there and then. It’s not left my wrist since. In fact, my other watches that are mostly 40mm plus, are now looking too big. I’m now a convert to the smaller watch.

With a 6.5" wrist I really thought the 54 would look and feel better than the 58 for me because I do enjoy smaller watches. On videos, images and paper you might feel like the design choices are better. But I cannot stress enough how important it is to try the 54 and the 39mm 58 on in person and really look at the dials, feel the bezels and crowns and think about the fact that you'll be seeing and feeling those every day. I was shocked to find I far preferred the BB58 in 39mm...EVEN the snowflake second hand I thought just added a soul and flavor over the lollipop on the 54 which in videos and images I thought I'd prefer. The ONLY thing I wish I could have from the 54 is the clasp. I can genuinely say do yourself a favor and try both on. It will ABSOLUTELY come down to that real in-person comparison for a lot of you.

This advice should be posted on every BB54 review. To me for a 6.5" wrist or bigger, the BB58 wins. The BB54 is hyped because its the new kid on the block bur more aka smaller isn't better. Also, some women prefer a slightly bigger male watch as well. Also for me with average male wrist, the Pelagos 39 wins with Ti chassis. I like vintage style watches and chronos but the Pelagos 39 is brilliant.

I went through the exact same thought process. first wanted to black bay pro, tried it on and thought it was too thick then saw the Pelagos 39, which I loved and still do, but never pulled the trigger. and now the BB54, I think I might just pull the trigger

Excellent review Aleks. One of the best I've seen. Really appreciate your close up photography and the clean & solid graphics you use to demonstrate the dimensions. It looks stunning and I have a hunch it will fit me perfectly; trying on a 58 last month felt a touch chunky on my 6.75 in wrist. When you got to the "almost perfect" conclusion I felt sure you were going to mention the lack of red triangle! (doesn't bother me). I'm almost certain I'm going to pull the trigger on one of these... unless a Blue 54 arrives next year... AAGH

The sunburst finish was the only thing I was unsure about but I think it’s done well as far as sunburst finishes go I think. I personally would rather it be matte

Absolutely love my black bay 54. It was love at first sight when I saw the first photos and videos come out after watches and wonders. I got mine from my local A.D. a week ago, after being on the waiting list for two months. Again, I absolutely love it. The fake rivets, I could take or leave. It is not that big of a deal to me. Other than that everything else is all I could want in a watch. By the way, I have a 7 inch wrist and the fit is perfect in my opinion and liking.

I've always wanted a black BB with non-gilt bezel. Had the option to buy the heritage (rose logo) but found it way too large for my 16cm wrist. Ended up getting the BB58 because of its size. This BB54 has everything I've always wanted. I made the switch few days ago!!! So glad they released this model.

Great review mate, subbed about 30 seconds into watching. I really liked the flat to the wrist angles and how you showed the measurements. You are also an “easy to watch” presenter. In an attempt to capture their audience, most KZreadrs convey an inauthentic presenter-mode version of themselves which tends to be quite polarising; I’ll like them or not. You, on the other hand, present very naturally and neutrally which lets the subject of your video be the star. Keen to see if the 54 comes in green or blue next year. If not, I’ll get this watch and your review helped convince me 👍

Great review. Very close to perfect however I wish (1) the markers were true white (not cream colored) to match the bezel numbers; (2) outlined in silver not rose gold and (3) had red triangle on the bezel with one line of matching red text. But then it would be a "mini Sub"--my ideal watch but not something big brother Rolex would ever let Tudor make. (Hoping they release an all blue one next.)

For a heavily vintage inspired watch like the 58 and the 54 the faux rivets and the stepped bracelet are just fine. If you want a modern looking watch, then it's the more neutral 58 with the blue bezel and the bracelet from the Ranger. Or the Pelagos 39 of course.

Imagine a sub of that size! That would be amazing

I’ve never owned any Tudor aside Rolex & Omega. You’ve convinced me to buy it. Beautifully described 🙌🏼

I don’t know. I have a BB58 and think they should have done the opposite of what they did: they should have kept the rose gold and red accent on the bezel and toned down the gold on the dial.

I think they should have slimmed down the lugs as it looks a bit blocky to me but i love they're going for smaller sizes.

It’s like the old watches and exactly these proportions are what I love about this 54

I got mine in the steel bracelet variant for a week and realised that the lume is pretty bad compared to a blackbay 36. Other than that, I am SUPER happy about the watch.

Totally agree with the sunburst dial detracting from the watch, for me my blue BB58 is the perfect watch, I think over time this is the one that people will want the most. 😊 Just my opinion ❤

Thanks for sharing, well-made and informative Video! :-) I´ve purchased mine with rubber strap yesterday and was really happy that it was available; been searching after it (here in Germany) since a few months. Great watch on my 16.5cm wrist, looks and feels just great! :-) BUT: This morning to my surprise and discomfort I realized that the raised luminous indice on the bezel (the "drop" in the triangle between 50 and 10) is not exactly centered within the triangle; on the left side you can see the white of the triangle, on the rigth side it is practically on the edge of the triangle... 😞 Does anyone have experience with this issue and how dealers and Tudor deal with this? Thanks for any answers!

I figured out what is bothering me besides the rivets. Its that it doesn’t have “T” shaped end links. I really don’t like the middle link attached to the end link. Makes the watch look like its hanging on by a thread.

Yeah this is the one I’m pulling the trigger on. BB Pro looks to much like a toy to me and pelagos 39 has to shiny of a finish to be a snowflake successor for me which is unfortunate because I feel both were good ideas that just weren’t executed quite right. The 54 is the most faithful out of all the recent releases and you could say the only real unfaithful part is the dial is slightly sunburst instead of a matte which I’m unsure if I’ll like or not

Almost perfect for me the size and all the aspect of bb54.

You don't even notice the sunburst and when you do it is a pleasant little extra. What's up with sunburst? The rivets are almost invisible when wearing it.

Feeling the same hype as the bb58 when it was just released. Will have to wait a year or two and prices will settle to about 30%+ off retail like the 58 now

I thought I was the only one that wished the dial was matte instead of sunburst. I still bought the watch but matte would’ve made it perfect

If the 58 had the 54 bracelet then it would be the 58 for me. I didn’t like the new Pelagos even thought the bracelet was “on the fly”.

Maybe I missed it.. but what size is your wrist? I’ve got 19.5cm wrist, wonder if it maybe is too small… Thanks for a great video :)

I like the Tudor 54, however, I would like to see a ceramic bezel, otherwise, it’s my perfect size.

Perfect for 6 in wrist guys and women.

love the smaller size, the normal crown, the vintage inspiration, the low height, and even the bezel, but there's something that leaves me cold. it's too monochromatic. the whole piece just seems "bland" somehow. I like the minimalism, but it's just boring. It could use a splash of red at the lume pip, or on a line of text on the dial.

My wrist is about 6ish u think lug to lug wont be big ?

Because Rolex is overpriced in 2024 and you can get robbed any second out of your home.

Too small. Waited years for my 58 and after a week was bored with it. Back to a seamaster 300 for me.
