It's why cancer is on the rise, people like this infusing plastics and resins into our food. @19:06, putting hot food into a plastic/vinyl container/bag and not expecting cross contamination of resins into the food. Not very smart...
❤ from Tucson! 🌵☀️

Hey Judy! Hope you liked the episode. Tucson looks amazing.
I adore yu Pattie yu have made my Mexican cooking so easy I watch yu every chance I get you're so sweet lifted 😊😊😊
I buy Don Guerra's bread whenever I can. It's amazing bread and he's a master baker. I moved here from the San Francisco Bay Area and his bread is every bit as good as what I left behind if not better.
Patty, I’m a very picky person when it comes to Mexican Food, but I must tell you this flour gorditas with chiles rellenos in picadillo are just delicious, you make us so proud… muchas gracias for keeping these recipes and our food so authentic, genuine and simply phenomenally delicious.. I as a Mexican woman truly appreciates that. There are so many chefs out there who butcher, revise and try to new and improve our original recipes in hopes of making it their own and all they do is water down and downgrade of beautiful and delicious food.. I commend you for never doing that, it’s my honest opinion and hope you continue to stay true to the ingredients and the flavor or all the techniques too..Your awesome!! I download your Recipies and make them all the time, they challenge and also make me a little more creative cook as well.. By the way I’m from Acapulco Guerrero Mexico but migrated to Tucson when I was very young so didn’t get a chance to really experience all of our gorgeous cuisine but my mom pass a few little gems of Recipies that I know I will teach my daughter too… Thank you for your terrific passion and enthusiasm of our Mexican heritage, it shows in your style and love for cooking it…. Ms. Payne. P/s my dad was from pueble and let me tell you my favorite dish in the world is mole poblano, the sweet savory spice kind, and there isn’t any good restaurants in Tucson for that dish, they fail miserably, no where, it’s simply horrible.. please teach us how to make it authentically.. thanks Ms. Maria Payne. biz.maria_046@yahoo.com

Oh my, I’m driving thru Tucson in about two weeks I’m going to stop at Barrio bakery. I’ve never been there but love sourdough bread. Need to taste some of that rustic bread too. Oh those tortillas look wonderful. My nana was from Tubutama, Sonora, México she made her tortillas super thin. I loved them so much. She used the lard in a blue box. I’ve got to try the tortillas with evaporative milk. Wow!!! Spectacular show!!

Pati has such a lovely accent, doesn't she? Love hearing her describe all the amazing dishes and places and weave in and out of Spanish and English words and pronunciations. She is pronouncing Tucson the Spanish way, which happens to be the way it was pronounced by everyone long ago, and is closer to the Native American words it derives from.
Gracias for showing that Mexican do eat more than tortillas and have unos panes excelentes.

Hello Paty.. I'm from ciudad obregon sonora, "El granero de Mexico"...I live at el paso TX, I miss Sonora's cousin. I've been waiting for this season for about 5 months. When is it going to be the release of season 9 on amazon prime?... You visited my hometown, from which I'm very proud of. Nice job!

I just viewed your cooking show for the first time today "Tucson: Getaway to Sonora" and I can't believe I've been missing your cooking show this whole time! I'm 3rd Generation Mexican/American and so proud of my Mexican culture. So I can't wait to see your other shows to learn more about the various Mexican dishes! My grandmother would make "gordita" flour tortillas and I miss them. Pati, question for you, when you use other fats - is it the same measurements as vegetable shortening? Thank you!

I bet this bread is good
The tortillas gorditas are diferent than tortillas de harina. Both have wheat flour but are made in a different way and other additional ingredients. I dont like when the call tortillas all the same. The same with guacamole. They call guacamole what is a salsa de aguacate made in a blender. All calling a cook a chef. Big difference.... its like calling someone a attorney for for helping you paying a gas bill. Lol. If you want to cook like a local, move there.
This made me so happy that you came down to my birth state. I'm from Nogales,Az and Nogales,Sonora also has very good places you can stop to eat.
