Considering Clarkson couldn't handle the Noble in Top Gear's track without traction control and the fact that the Noble has no ABS. The Hamster deserves an award.

Edward Millard stick shifter and manual mean the same thing, like semi-automatic and paddle shifter / flappy paddles mean the same thing, none of those are either american or british exclusive. And you don't say "cambio robotizzato" when driving an italian car, so what you're saying that you have to say a term from the language the car was made in is complete horseshit.

I think they definitely lied about the top speed down the straight, looking at assetto corsa hot laps top speeds on main straights 458: 270 kmh mclaren p1 307kmh, and that is a game/sim where they can press restart if they crash . If they all did 320+ they will all be in the tire barrier at t1.... 290kmh will be a very optimistic figure

thando socikwa I'll stipulate that the Stig would be faster, but then the Stig is a PRO. As good as Jeremy and Richard are, pros they are NOT. My primary thought is that what slowed Hammond down was the manual shifter on the Noble, plain and simple. Much as I love to row through the gears, it must be admitted that paddle shifters are faster at what they do. I seriously suspect that correlates to faster lap times as well. Had Hammond had a shot in the Aventador, I'd bet you a cup of coffee he'd be considerably faster than the 2:03.3 he set at Imola.

Nice work Hammond keeping it out of the wall. Takes real driving skill to let go off the brakes in a moment like that, he would've definitely smashed into the right-side wall if he hadn't. That point on Imola is so tricky, you have to turn the car while setting up for a hard braking zone, which is more than hard enough, but you also have to do it with virtually zero grip because you just came flying over a crest! Edit: They must've gone through entire trailers worth of tires before the Lambo was the fastests.
