I'm super excited to see how they will turn out too! I plan to hold a few back too so we can continue to observe their development over time like the unicorn bucket spawn.

I super excited too! I spawned them a little later then planned so I'm not sure if they will be ready to be sold at aquashella or if I will need to hole that entire spawn back BUT it will be super interesting to see how they turn out.

Congrats for spawning! I know the struggles first hand. Sometimes betta pairs don't fit or males are tstb (too stupid to breed) and will wrap themselves constantly, while the female watches cofusedly 😂 my only concern about your two spawns is the tancho males form. He has quite the spoonhead, which unfortunedly is a very dominant trait and will get passend along to most of the babys. But as far as I know, you are not breeding for shows anyway. And even if a bumpy head isn't concidered pretty, it won't affect the fishs quality of life.

1.) Depends on the betta them self 2.) the one I like is bug bites 3.) give them plants helps them explore and keep them interested

Are they placing the fertilized eggs right in the bubbles or the bubbly area just the general place they collect the eggs together

Hi. I've tried to spawn bettas years ago when i was a kid. The only stage i got to was a wigglers with were staying on top of bubble nest and sometimes free swimming. Then father (male) has been picking them up and taking them up to the nest. I did not manage to hatch them as obviously as I was and stupid :) Well.. Maybe not stupid but young. Whatever. :)

Hi Kasia, I have small doubt on plakats breeding. One of my Nemo candy pair got spawned 3 days ago, After fry are free swiming i removed male. With in 2 days it started building new bubble nest. So my question is, Can I use him to breed now with another female?

After removing him, have you been feeding him well? He should be ok to breed but if you want to be sure I would give him a week of feeding him well before trying to spawn.

That means that he is mature enough to spawn and is just following his instinct to build a nest

Wish I would be able to buy a Betta from you when these grow up… but I’m too far away for safe shipment :(
