I really love this part about Kwoowk; connecting us viewer and giving a glimpse of what's it is like to cook on your own different varieties of dishes across the world. Best part is, he doesn't even bother bluffing that he's a good cook, which really connects with us layman viewers not from the culinary world. Ultimately, Kwoowk gives us a glimpse of what it's like to experience worldwide cuisines we'd never hear about unless we travel or know people from those places.

I'm from ethiopia, and i'm so glad that you decided to make doro wet. It really is delicious, especially if your grandmother makes it, and you made a great one for your first time. But berere is a bit hard to come by in other countries, and you're right about the onions, because the whole household is crying over those things every Christmas😂

An Ethiopian restaurant is supposed to be opening in my city early next year. I can't wait. I've watched some KZread channels that presented Ethiopian foods & all of them looked mouth-watering. My only concern with ethnic restaurants is whether the food uses authentic recipes or if it has been made differently to satisfy an American palate. I was so deflated when I found out that the restaurants at Disney's Epic Center changed their original recipes, mostly to make them less spicy. When I go to ethnic restaurants now, I try to find other dinners that are of that ethnicity so I can ask them if the food is made authentically. A friend of mine has an Afghani restaurant, & I asked the Gentleman sitting next to me if his food was authentic or not. He smiled while telling me, "It's just like my Mom makes." I gave him a thumbs up, & continued eating my food, which was sensational.

@dee_dee_place I'm glad for you. But if you really want an authentic meal, maybe travel. Usually, in Ethiopia, they serve doro wet on this raised platform called a mesob, and you're supposed to eat with friends ( it's big ). The way the elders make their food, no one can match it.

I love benji's unbothered chill vibes and cute equally chill kevin vibes Good chill combo i must say
Sorry you had a hard time this year. Wish I could support you back how this channel has been a support for me in trying to deal with cooking anxiety. I love thay you are so honest, down to earth and relatable, and your affirmations make me feel ok with messing up.
Love the dynamic between you two, hope we see more content next year! Happy holidays!!
This was so entertaining!! I love how you casually whipped up an entire feast of the seven fishes as PART of the video 😆
This is so amusing 😊. Always nice to check traditional recipes around the world.
Their confusion over mince pies is priceless 😅
Thank you for returning my guy!! Can you make a series about trying specifically deserts from around the world??
If anybody's confused about the Japanese KFC, it's because KFC is INSANELY popular in Japan, especially during christmas.

Even tho I haven't ever seen that italian dish because I'm from the north and am landlocked, still love the recognition and can see how that is italian
This was so funny! I love the dynamic between the two of you
you truly can never go wrong with rice pudding (also your risalamande looks so good it's making me excited to make it myself for christmas)
So happy to see Denmark included! I wasn't expecting it. I love risalamande !
I often forget how Mince Pies aren't as popular around the world as they are in Britain. This time of year, it's practically impossible to go into a supermarket and not see towers of boxes of mince pies.

I could eat misir wot all day, Ethiopian Cuisine is definitely my favorite. I'm glad you could expose it to other people!
Love the video! Was missing your ‘Rating Christmas Dishes from Around the World’ series from last year until now
Omg omg omg I was chilling with your christmas content and you slapped me with our oddest Peruvian christmas tradition, paneton with hot chocolate in the middle of summer. We all sweating and enjoying this sweet treat
i hope the new year recive you with peace an happines and i hope you have no longer anxiety problems, i wish you the best, greetinhs from Puerto Rico
I love how with benji it's like sometimes he has a perfect american accent (especially the last thing he said XD), and then he'll have a perfect british accent like when he said "I like that", then he'll just go back to having some ethnic accent 😭😭😭
OMG YES DENMARK❤❤ In my family we hide a whole almond in the mix, and whoever gets it gets a special extra Christmas present!! It's super good with the cherry sauce, but many also like it plain😊😊😊😊
Love your content man! You're amazing 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Ethiopias cuisine is absolutely delicious 🤤
Love this tipe of videos and all your videos❤
I like you guys and how you interact, it's very genuine! (Which should be the norm but it's not)
Mmm I love mince pies. That Ethiopian food looks so good
Kevin & Benji- I love your channel. I too like to explore different cultures through their foods. I'm so glad that we can do so on the internet because I have found some wonderful recipes. I have been able to make many of the spice mixes that are not easily found in the USA thanks to Google searches; they list the ingredients. The only drawback is the proteins used. I can easily find ox tail & even boar meat but getting goat or conch is virtually impossible. I added Munchies & Chef Lola's Kitchen to my list of recipe websites. Thanks. Many of my family recipes are gone for good, which is unfortunate. My Mom & Grandmother didn't let anyone into their kitchens with them, so when they passed away, they took all their recipes with them. One of the KZreadrs that you mentioned, Sip & Feast, which is done by Jim & Tara, had my #1 favorite dish that my Mom made. I was thrilled beyond words that I could now re-create my Mom's dish. Thank you Sip & Feast. I wish everyone, a Happy & Peaceful Holiday.
You can't have Risalamande without one singular whole almond and a prize for whoever finds it (the chef always cheats)

You guys are great. This was so fun!
You nailed those mince pies. Love from UK❤
WE NEED PART 2 KWOOWK PLEASE!!!

You two are so funny together 😂
Happy new year @KWOOWK
I always feel like it's so hard for KZreadrs to come back after a break. Nonetheless, I think you had to take your break, you really deserved one. And in the end, it went for the best because the combination of all of your efforts, with the support of your amazing friend now in your videos has shown a successful transformation of your channel.. I am so happy for you man!!!
Ahhhh Sip and Feast is a great channel. Solid Italian-American dishes.
Thank you for making the Italian dish. Sei magnifico amico mio
Could you try some Norwegian CHRISTMAS dish? They Are so delicious!
Been here since you had 3k followers ❤
Baccala, oyster stew, octopus in tomato sauce were things we had Christmas Eve. Baccala is like lutefisk in tomato sauce, for those who dont know.

You should do hallacas. It's a Venezuelan Christmas dish that dough wraps around meats olives and etc.
Mince pies are amazing with a dollop of clotted cream (admittedly, a lot of foods are amazing with clotted cream)
okay you have to try making some of the Russian New Year dishes next time. Olivier salad is pretty cheap and easy to make, also there's the... uhh.. herring in a furcoat? honestly I have no idea how to properly translate that, but it might be an interesting thing to try
You definitely have to do a 4 million special 🎉 your so close
Benji mi vida eres de Panamá?!!!!😂😂😂 Que cool! Saludos desde San Miguelito
Love this video! Mince pies used to be something like a shepherd's pie in the medieval ages. Now its a sweet pastry!

Nice curveball with the risalamande xD In Denmark, a lot of us have tradition where we hide a whole almond in a bowl of risalamande, and the one who gets the almond when they eat their portion gets a small prize :D It's also customary to hide the almond for as long as possible if you find it early, or give it to a younger family member seated next to you (if you're nice lol)
Try making Masoub, It's a traditional Yemeni dessert.
hey i thought you should know that there is a youtube shorts ad that is using some of your footage. the brand is “digidish” and it’s like chatgpt but for food
