JAJ reminds me so much of the late Phil Hartman in how they mimic mannerisms to where you couldn't tell if it was the actor or the president they were impersonating.

Johnson has ascended, amongst so many good to excellent impersonators, to a level of voice interpretation and body/hand gestures that so EXACTLY mimic DT, that (with the addition of just a little more makeup and hair work) he could stand in for him at any rally, meeting, or trip to KFC and never be questioned. He is absolutely PERFECT.

When he first appeared on SNL doing his Trump impression, I sometimes got distracted by the big difference in JAJ's physical appearance vs. Trump's. However, now, JAJ has truly channeled not just Trump's voice, but his entire being. There was a brief moment during this segment when I had to remind myself that it wasn't actually Trump speaking. Credit to James for taking a great impression to begin with, to an even higher level.

It is interesting to see Johnson's ability to do 2 types of impersonations. He can go the Daryl Hammond route and do very nuanced, specific impressions, or exaggerate certain aspects of a subject's mannerisms like he did in the Bill Walton sketch, which was the stock in trade of guys like Hartman, Hader (though his Alan Alda was spot on) and Carvey. Quite the versatility.

This whole episode was hilarous. First-time I've laughed out loud at an SNL episode in a long time.

The mannerisms from the voice down to the body movements and hand gestures are dead on. If he put some weight on he could fool people. He makes this skit work so well because he plays the character exactly as he is in real life and would say things that wouldn't be far off. He deserves an award for playing this character.

His whole shtick (JAJ) is that Trump just kinda rambles and meanders from topic to topic. Which is eerily accurate to what real person Donald Trump actually does. Baldwin just repeated exact things Trump said but made Trump sound like he had a developmental disorder.

I love his Trump impersonations -- he had to watch Trump for many hours to be this good.

This is the hardest I’ve laughed at SNL in a very long time.

Trump rolled back all the safety regulations & encouraged the smashing of the rail unions. Biden then continued the union busting. So they both suck ass. Its a comedy show, enjoy yourself.
