@@koaga645 No it isn't. It's one of 3 competitors and not all of them are plastic cased rounds. Sig Sauer is sticking with brass and is the most likely to win. Textron has some weird telescoping shit that probably won't get past R&D.

@@Maniac742 Sig Sauer's bid is not the most likely to win, and their ammunition is just as heavy as 7.62 NATO. Textron's bid has a fantastic machinegun, with really good performance in terms of the cartridge and good weight savings similar to the TV ammo here. But the TV ammo is backwards compatible and doesn't require moving chambers like the Textron bid has, nor is it really heavy and basically going from light ammo to heavier ammo like Sig's bid. The GD bid, despite being a bullpup, is the most likely to win.
