I shit you not I actually had an ex that took the ice cube trays with her when she moved out. They came with the apartment when we moved in. I got to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger when I wad a kid. I'm originally from Marathon Key. The Key's are pretty small islands so when a big production like True Lies came to town it was a big deal. The bridge scene with the Harrier Jet was filmed in my town. My child brain was blown to smithereens.

"Tony the driver gets shot... most likely through the eyeball." Lmao
Everyone needs to see this movie. It's top 3 for me for sure. And I've never met ANYONE who didn't love it. It really has something for everyone. The humor still holds up really well, the action and set pieces are great, and the scene with Helen spilling her heart out in the interrogation room still gets me teary eyed because it's something we can all relate to - everyone wants their life to be exciting while we're still young but we grow old so fast.
The Bill Paxton scenes are the best lol

Nice to see that "The Mac" is running the Mom and Pop store, casually, while his girlfriend is stuck in some kind of Philadelphia Twin Peaks nightmare with Tony 😅
This movie paired with Demolition Man the year before were the peak of the classic action movies. You'll get no argument from me on that. Both movies are exciting, funny, entertaining and bad ass. I feel Demolition Man has reached that cult classic status but True Lies is somewhat overlooked in action movies and in Arnold's filmography and that is a damn shame.

Not gonna lie, that Log action figure looked pretty sweet. Oh yeah, True lies is a great action film.
Over the top violence, sick location settings, side stories, charismatic characters, great cgi and comedy and this action films has “Die-Hard” holiday feel to it. Perfectly captures mid 90s. One of the best of the decade.

Tia Carrere was gorgeous in True Lies. (Also refuse to say she died out also, since she could easily escape via the sunroof)

Maybe she got rescued by the pelican that caused that one van to fall off the bridge.
Do the 1989 sci-fi action movie Cyborg starring Jean Claude Van Damme. It's full of campy goodness.

The Lobo is the weapon from WWZ (the book - not that train wreck of a film). Sorry, couldn't wait till the end of the video to comment.
That intro was amazing! Mr. Lobo has a great B-movie villain voice and laugh. I hope he makes more appearances in future episodes. Excited for the new show with Mike and the new sets.
This is probably the best acting I’ve seen in these videos. That Mr Lobo sets the tone and makes you three engage and be more natural.
True Lies is such a great classic film from a time long past when Arnold was on top of the world and kick ass action movies ruled the box office. Another great review, awesome work as always James and Cinemassacre team!

Tom Arnold's finest work, apart from The Stupids (which you should also review)

I don't know why it took me so long to realize this but, these reviews are so much more fun to watch right after you watch the movie they're discussing!
That was great acting by Mr Lobo at the start there. Also definitely one of the best Arnold movies. So many Arnold movies that still hold up so well today and are better than most action movies.
I about pissed myself when Tom Arnold shot at Bill Paxtons feet in True Lies LOL 😆

Thank God for rental reviews. I am really exited that you guys are going to have more reviews of great stuff from "the good old days" of the 80s/90s.
One of the best films from my youth. I remember being so excited to buy it for my Dad at Christmas.
Oh my god! The store Mike got put in looks exactly like the VIdeo Game store I worked in back in 96 as a teenager. Well that brought back some memories!

I agree with what The Angry Video Game Nerd said at 18:02-18:14. Even as a kid, I saw that stare on Arnold Schwarzenegger's face & I thought to myself "Oh, no!... ".
James: you forgot the last scene, where Bill Paxton is a waitress and both Arnold and Jamie are dancing tango!... Funny until the end!
