bulgiriri Lauren was actually not that great if you paid attention to her poor technique and safe picks. Haley also changed it up and never stayed in one horse all season while Lauren was pretty much predictable all season.

She took each and every song she covered on this show, stood them on their head and made them awesome with her unique raspy voice, inflections, runs and signature growls. Haley's musicality and talent is the very best that ever graced the America Idol stage, period!

I love this because she didn't try to copy Adele, she made it unique !!

No, not at all. Top 10, sure. But no way is she better than Kelly, Carrie, JHud, Adam Lambert, etc.

I remember Haley, I do not remember who won! She sings as effortless as breathing and flawless.

One of the best voices in American Idol history, and isn't even close

If you think this is good, go find her cover of Creep with Postmodern Jukebox. I've never heard anything like it.

6 Years later, i watched this for probably the 50th time and the mid section still sends shivers down my spine, gotta admit, she can sing.

The week after Haley sang this cover, Rolling in The Deep going sharp to number 1 on Billboard Hot 100 from number 6. That's true.

Her singing gives me chills

I said it the night4 years ago, when I saw Haley perform this on TV. It was even better than Adele. We fans of Haley knew she was by far the most talented on the show, and to us she is the winner do Season 10. That year the winner came in 3rd, but by far the Best. Please do yourself a treat and listen to Haley's new recordings/videos with Scott Bradlee and #PMJ. Habits and Creep are beyond fabulous and are burning up the charts.

Roz Alexander I'm there. The sick thing was that Adele's version was top of the charts back then and Haley's treatment blew that away like a Concorde passing a biplane. I've never been able to stomache the Adele version since. This version should have been recorded and released IMO. And if I could hear this on the radio instead.. wow. And heck of it is, the backup singers knew it too - you can see it in their faces during the performance.

An amazing unique voice and talent, the best IMO among the idol contestants. While many have good voices, they all are simply generic. Haley's voice is something not easy to forget and her stage presence is captivating I can't wait to have her CD.

One of the best performances ever. Judges missed on this one.

She is one of the very few singers I can keep listening to their tunes over and over and even like them more as I keep listening to tem. Any other singers on AI, I listen to them once and that is it! She is amazing and will be very big if they promote her right, and she is also so comfortable on stage

This is where I first really noticed Haley and I was hooked. I knew she deserved to win and when they voted her off....I stooped watching.

Had American Idol permitted only one vote per individual voting, as opposed to almost unlimited power voting, Haley Reinhart would have been the winner in a major landslide.

@Nicki Maxwell, There are zillions of covers of Rolling In The Deep out there and what they ALL did was try to sing it like Adele and blasted it out with gusto. By comparison, Haley took this hit song from Adele, stood it on it's head and made it her own. Adele is an Alto and Haley is a Mezzo Soprano, so their voices are different. She did not try to sing like Adele; but interpreted the lyrics, the emotions, in her own way. This version is more melodic and has more textured nuances over Adele's somewhat monotoned and straight forward anger. Haley has a very unique raspy voice and the clever tone manupulation and runs that she added made the song more soulful, interesting and colorful. Adele is a very gifted singer, song writer. But, this is still the Most unique and is, to many, the best cover of Rolling In The Deep and is preferred, even over Adele's. THIS IS WHAT MAKES THIS SUCH AN EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE. Your failing to appreciate it is your loss.

This performance was FAR FAR better than Adele's version. Haley Reinhart is one of the best singers working today.

+ricky davis The CD never got promoted because Interscope was going through financial difficulties at the time of its release. Then she subsequently got cut when Interscope restructured and also cut about half their stable of artists. It had nothing to do with her talent level or her viability as an artists. As a matter of fact, her first CD had received rave reviews. It was just had bad timing and bad luck. Meanwhile, she has been burning up the jazz charts all year long with a string 6 jazz hits in a row. So go buy a clue you flake.

I watched this live when I was 12 years old. I usually didn’t watch American idol but I heard Haley and was completely invested. Even a 12 year old knew she should win!

She is Absolutely amazing. Go get her Album people.

Singing with her tonight with the USAF Band of the West. When she first spoke to us I noticed a ring in her voice that I could hear when she sang. It’s unique for sure and I’m excited!

I still get the chills to this day!!!!!

They are supposed to make a song their own; make it different with their personal touch. If they just sang it as it is originally, it is considered karaoke.

I remember watching this when it aired live. I was blown away.

It's been a long day and I'm very tired but a Haley video never fails to re-energize me. I always smile when I see the backup singer shaking her head in amazement. :)

I do spend a lot of time putting them together, and am picky about the edits and the audio. For me it's all about the performances, and not the comments by the judges. I love Haley, and have from the begining, but more and more I'm seeing something even greater. Let's take her first song Falling: good, but the substance wasn't there, and she wasn't quite comfortable. Benny and the Jets: Charismatic, Fantastic Vocals, Stage Prescense, but she wasn't quite there with substance. This week: Prescence, Vocal Power, Substance, feeling, the whole package.
