It is a rare situation. Your dad is a good man. My neighbor and his wife split up after 36 years of marriage. She is a white british lady and he is Pakistani muslim. She said he tried to control everything she did or who could be friends with her and had enough as their son has moved out and she said there is nothing keeping her in this marriage any more.

The sad truth is that Canada's open borders policy doesn't work, and most immigrants seemingly have no interest at all in integrating into Canadian culture; rather just set up isolated communities of their own and displacing the same communities that welcomed them in. Portugese contractors hire Portugese workers; the Chinese do the same, and in the last two years, hundreds of thousands of Indian nationals buying up property and businesses and swelling up our cities. Cultural diversity is meaningless in the absence of a shared goal of community. Canada's famously warm spirit is not reciprocated by it's guests, and has simply been replaced with capitalist opportunism and cold ingratitude.

What is 'more' or 'less' Canadian? What is 'Canadian'? Does it matter? I don't think that it does. We are not a 'nation', but a motley assortment of imperial leftovers. No country of this size could be anything but 'multicultural'. It is not a 'badge of honor', just a fact. Let's get over ourselves. But islam is a lie. It does not matter that some muslims are nice and make good citizens. Either Christ was crucified and rose from the dead, or He did not . We have yet to learn from the blunders many European countries made in the 70s allowing anyone and everyone in. Today they are reaping what was sown. Politicians like Justin Trudeau have adopted this ostrich head in the sand attitude that may cost us dearly. Immigrants in the past from Italy, Greece, Jamaica, Nigeria, India, Vietnam and China have proved their worth. True, they have faced hostility but have earned the respect of mainstream Canadians through their hard work and respect for the country that has adopted them. I am myself a non-white immigrant and a 'refugee' from an Islamic country where non-Muslims have been relegated to second class status. We are slowly being coerced and forced to convert to Islam and forced to emigrate. The same people that Trudeau wants to bring into Canada often, when there are sufficient numbers demand sharia law in Canada or other Christian countries where for more than 60 years they have formed indigestble lumps in the bellies of the countries they have settled in. Justin Trudeau uses sugar-coated language to justify his reckless attitude in bringing the trash of the world into Canada. There is no comparison with Italians, Haitians, Nigerians, Indians or Vietnamese who have shown their gratitude to the countries that gave them a second chance. All he needs to do is to look at several European countries who brought in the wrong type of people for their citizens to put up with.

"Islam and Christianity can't mix" laughs in Indian. We certainly have our religious problems here but If I tried to list the number of towns and cities where Mosque, Churches, Hindu Temples and Gurudwaras can be found all on the same street, i'd run out of space.

He's had a rough time since the start of the last election. During thst campagn, things got so bad, he was wearing kevlar everywhere he went. I was horrified for his safety & the trauma he was obviously dealing with to the point where I was agraid to vote for him again, in effect, keeping him in the spotlight. During this campaign, very personal things that have nothing to do with politics wete brouvh up causing what we suspect is a serious rift between Justin & his wife, Sophie as neither were wearing their wedding bands. Then came a fire that put Justins mom, Margaret in the hospital, right before this covid nightmare. Early in this pandemic, Sophie caught covid & that must have been really frightning for Justin & their kids. So now he has to deal with the mess this pandemic has made of the economy & to keep people alive & housed with no income since February. I noticed even as far back as last November that he looked completely exhausted & just emotionally done. I like Justin & I worry about his emotional well being..In my heart, I hope he decides to bow out next election & tries to fix the damage all this has done.

Islam is an all encompassing religion. Becoming Muslim under Islam also mean taking on the Islamic culture (Arab culture) and knowing some bits of Arabic to recite verses in the Quran and following the routines of life stated also in there and other religious documents of the faith. Asking Muslims to separate church and state is the equivalent of not letting them practice their religion fully.

A country with no core identity in the future is doomed to fail, at least my opinion (and history has showed time and time again) sure times has changed, we are in the modern world, but some "Imported" people arent from the "modern world". Sometimes idiologies are too diferent. And i have been to Canada, i have Canadian family, i know what i am talking about, i even said "except thanks giving tell me one Canadian tradition a Canadian one" they had no idea. So Canada is a country of imigration, i get it, but like all experiments it can fail, because this is a very new experiment. Like i said, i have "Canadian" family, even sunday was talking to them. They adapted to Canadian society, but "being Canadian for them just means having a passport, thats mostly it. Then they talk about some problems about some communities (which arent that big of a deal) with each other, but exists. Like this man said "Canada doesnt have a core culture". Well, all countries or cultures needs identity, and one day, this soon may clash. But hey good luck Canada, you have great country, but when i went there myself, the "problem" i saw is, i didnt feel it, i didnt feel the culture or anything, there was no culture, even America despite also being a country of immigrants have their identity more. The only region that has a deep culture is Quebec, and they clash alot with the rest of Canada, and with the great influx of migrants im sure it will get worse. There is even some debate why French should have its positition so high when we have so many migrants from other countries? Those are the problems and clashes migration starts. Yes, Canada is a country of migrants but it founded by 2 groups, the French and the British, no need to sugar coat it, thats the bases of the culture of Canada. Losing that core identity can be dangeours to the future. But lets see how it goes, i hope it goes well, i have Canadian family of both branches of my family (even myself was inveted to migrate there so yah...).

Trump's messed up so much in his presidency it hurts, be it the tariff war in China, permanently fracturing relations with multiple countries and allies, wanting to ban all Muslims, doing nothing about the separation of illegal children from their families, doing nothing about the war on drugs, ending support of allies in the Middle East, bringing soldiers to the Middle East only to protect oil (Atleast he was honest about this one), inadvertently supporting white supremacy, bad decisions during the coronavirus pandemic, the list goes on for days. I say all this and I’m fairly critical of Trudeau, so you Americans REALLY messed up with this one.

@Marco Kruz well you see, ASEAN countries are compose of many religions. Thailand, Burma, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia worships Budha then Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei worship Islam then The Philippines and East Timor worship Christianity while Singapore is a mix of all religions.

His comments about bringing in the “Best and the Brightest” at 7:14 made me laugh. I have multiple first-hand accounts of some excellent Immigration Applicants who were not let in. These were well educated individuals, skilled tradesmen. All were fluent in one of our two official languages, most of them it was their first language. They weren’t turned away because they had a sketchy criminal past, but rather because of quotas from their country of origin. Basically, there were too many people applying from a country that didn’t fit whatever sitting government of the day’s agenda. There’s not much of a photo op welcoming a skilled New Zealand Machinist to Canada, but there is a great photo op for some politician standing beside some poor asylum-shopper who chose Canada because we give them lots of free “gimmies”. Immigration Canada is corrupt to the core.

I’m Muslim and I love everyone all religions I am a white muslim. I converted 13 years ago. My mom is from Newfoundland and my dad is from Nova Scotia. Real muslims just want to live in peace without being disrespected and discriminated against. My husband is a Dominican man who is Muslim now for almost one year. We love everyone and we will feed a Christian is they are hungry and we will help a Jewish person if they need medicine we will give charity to a Hindu person if they need something. In Islam it is haram(sinful) to kill rebels hide under Islam real muslims just want to work and go to school and eat sandwiches pray and help others for the sake of God ❤️🙏 Happy Ramadan my Muslim sisters and brothers. We are praying for the world and the people fighting covid-19. I am fasting for 30 days for the love of God and to feel what it’s like to not have and in hopes that God will hear my prayers for the world and all humanity no matter what race or religion you are. ❤️

This is the case where we should know the differences between personal ideology and culture ideology... As example is the democratic country itself, the president may be the president of the country in general because people vote them, but we can't just simply call everyone in that country is the 'people of the president' because other half vote and support for other candidates... Yes they are Canadians example but not all support the general ideology because of the personal ideology... But who we should look at in this scenario? In this case we should look at the president because it's his job to set the culture ideology, this is the purpose of having different president for every 4 years so that we can find the best general ideology to follow So the point here is: The fact that most people look at these terrorist and islam extremist as a general ideology of this religion is not a correct way to judge the religion itself... The reason is because when we look at the facts and not just by personal assumptions, we could clearly see that islam is a big religion and have billions of muslims around the world and to compare it to the amount of the one who commits terrorism, i would say 95% does not commit terrorism because the act of terrorism is a personal ideology not the islam ideology itself. How am i so sure it's not Islam ideology? Here's a fact: In quran, it does not promotes any idea on terrorism... And it’s because they were taught to respect the values and adhere to the culture of the country they are in. I was born in the United States, and my parents were from Bangladesh. I love and respect my country more than anyone else in my family who was born in the United States. And as for those members of my family who were born in the United States, all of them are doctors, lawyers, engineers, professors, and all kinds of other respectable jobs. Then, on the other hand, these refugees who are pouring in from the Middle East offer no talent or promise, and looking at the countries they are migrating to, they DEFINITELY have NO INTENTION to respect or adhere to the culture of that country. Eh I don't know. I'm a white male in Edmonton and I've never had an issue with an immigrant. My next door neighbor is an immigrant and he looks after my place when I'm gone. I'd trust him with property. Yes, bad people get through, it sucks and it's a part of life. I also work in the oil industry and I work with people of all faiths and race, never been an issue. My mother, a white rural female with little education is racist and scared. It's sad but it is what it is. My grandfather's both fought in The Great War and World War II. Sikh men fought on our side and died for the British Empire, yet they are not recognized here. I used to show racist behavior until I grew up. No I don't believe in open boarders. Our immigration is tight, look into it.

My mother is a family physician, my father is a civil structure engineer. You gave us the opportunity to have this life and education in Canada and we return the favour by doing our part and helping the Canadian people as well. I am also a Muslim, and rather than saying I am a "moderate" Muslim, I say that I am an "actual" Muslim, one that follows the peace and beauty of Islam. I respect Christians and have many wonderful friends. The only muslims who have problems with other religions are the extremists, they are hardly religious themselves since they miss the entire part of the Quran that says to be kind to others, dont judge others, make sure your neighbour has food to eat (in terms of poverty) before you sit down for dinner, RELIGION IS A CHOICE and should NOT be forced etc. I apologize on behalf of those extremists however please understand they are a minority and they are just as much an enemy to muslims as they are to anyone else (plus every religion always has that one group of stupid idiots). This is no longer an issue of Canadian vs other, or Christians vs Muslims. No. This is an issue of humanity vs extremism. I will fight alongside Canadians, as we as my people from my country, AGAINST extremists, no matter which religion they belong to. When I say "fight" I am not referring to violence, I am referring to discussions, debates, teaching and learning, sharing the true values and morals of my community so to spread what Islam really is, so that we can distinguish between religion and extremism (personally, I don't see them as the same thing), and understand that religion should not be an issue for living amongst people, but instead extremism has to be stopped. I do not wish to "force" my constitutions on Canadians. My family and I are the ones adapting to Canadian culture, however in order lessen the misunderstanding and accusations of ACTUAL Muslims, then yes I would like to spread its meaning. @@nimsalp8530 I am not certain. I am Persian, both my parents had international degrees however when we came to Canada, my father got a 2nd phD and my mother had to repeat medical school. It was not easy, they were both mature students, over qualified and in a competitive field. Best bet is to aim for universities that accept these students. My dad went to Western Ontario and my mom went to McMaster.

Pummy Bro how is it weird that he's telling you to not be a hypocrite and actually read the Quran, but you should also look into the deeper meaning and context, because that matters like a lot in many verses, the entire meaning can change once you put the verse into context and find the deeper meaning, obviously not all verses, because a lot is straight forward, or it's telling a story, but there was this verses, I don't remember which one, but it said something along the lines of, kill the non-believers where ever you find them, but what it's actually saying, is that, the Muslims were in a time of war against the non-Muslims, and basically it's telling you that they have to wage war against you, you can't fight wars against other Muslims, it's basically telling us the conditions of fighting in a war. Unlike most Middle Eastern countries or some countries in Europe, Canada doesn't have refugee camps. If we did, I would agree that refugees ruin cities and nobody would want to look at them. There have always been refugees in every major war, it just wasn't in huge numbers until WW2. When millions of Jews fled Europe in fear of being persecuted. It's not "we need to help them". It's "we have to help them if we can" And Canada can. I don't mean this only about the refugee crisis. If we can't, the government wouldn't budge. You can count on that.
