I’ve only had the lightbulb moment very recently that Kirk Lazarus must have been based on Heath. It just lines up too closely. Australian actor who stays in character through the whole shoot, even the trailer for Satan’s Alley clearly mirroring Brokeback Mountain.

It really is crazy that world beloved movie star Robert Downey Jr. first tried drugs at age six, literally escaped rehab multiple times, fell asleep in some kids bed (didn't know the family or anything), was in black face for a whole movie, and we still love him because of the man he is. Pretty cool comeback story.
