LYRICS
Die young, save yourself
Life is only replaced by hell
I know that the hurt will just go on
I can't save myself
Slowly without a name
As the blood empties from my veins
Nothing ever stays the same - I know
I'll always take the blame
I fear I won't make
Make it out
Out in time
I fear I won't make
Make it out
Out alive
I'm alone when the ending comes
Take control of the nightmare
This fate has become my own
Choking on my soul
Misery has gained control
Hand in mouth, I start to pull the corpse
That's trapped inside my throat
I want so much to make you feel
All this pain that makes me real
I bring you down to fall with me - now drown
Inside of my disease
There is no quiet ending
I'll be taking you with me
Through blood and through dirt and bone
Through blood and dirt and bone

That got me through chemotherapy sessions. The lyrics really hit close to home while I sat for an hour, at age 27, in the hospital, getting poisoned again to be sick as shit just so I could live.

Really don’t know why this album got as much hate as it did, Vengeance Falls was a solid album for the band & it showed growth in going in a different direction. Even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of David Draiman being at the forefront of producing the record, he probably added more emotion & melodic feel to some tracks that Trivium hasn’t done in the past. I’d put the album in my top 5

I really enjoy the variety of style and focus these guys have with their music. You can tell these guys are truly creative when they are constantly trying to change it up and trying to work on centralizing their sound to who they feel they are. These guys remind me so much like Opeth where they're not afraid to do what they want.

A fact i won't EVER forget: Vengeance Falls was supposed to, instead, be framed around Trough Blood And Dirt And Bone. This should have been it guys, this should have been the core and style of the album. If you ask me, this could have been the frame of the entire album just the same. Source: A comment by Matt-Heafy. Trivium! You guys kicked ass in Mt. View!! This song is AMAZING. Mat Madiro fits in the band perfectly, Nick Augusto will seriously be missed by many of us... But if anyone was to replace Nick I'm glad it's Mat! I can't wait to listen to new Trivium music with the new drummer in the future!

Jacob Stefo How did Slipknot sell out? By making music how they want and giving a middle finger to what's expected? The fans expect them to stagnate and recreate Iowa/Slipknot but they make what they want and don't care if the label/part time fans don't like it. Let's be honest, Stone Sour wouldn't release Custer, The Blister Exists, The Heretic Anthem (or the Heretic Song as it was originally released), or The Negative One as a single and leave it at that. Love Slipknot, Trivium, and Stone Sour but Slipknot and Trivium make music how they want and don't care if they lose a few fans that only know Iowa/Ascendancy or a few singles. Selling out is making music for money and not the love of it (Kiss, Nickleback, etc.), what Slipknot and Trivium do is for the love of it and that's how it should be.

ICY Entertainment My guess is he talking about stylistic change, in which case he is just ignorant because if you listen to each album from Ember all the way to Vengeance you see a huge stylistic leap, same with Slipknot. Both are guilty of changing their sound but the difference is you always know a Slipknot or Trivium song when it comes on just by the way the instrumental is, not to mention the vocals that will be ripping you to pieces in a few seconds.

the first two albums were the best of all time. the new stuff sucks, that's why joey left the band because he knew slipknot was going down hill. plus metal music is not the same anymore like it use to be. the only best metal bands are still left is slayer testament and exodus.

Jacob Stefo"the first two albums were the best of all time. the new stuff sucks, that's why joey left the band because he knew slipknot was going down hill." The first album is definitely my favorite but the new stuff is nowhere near bad, especially the new album. That album is a beast and definitely one of my favorite metal albums in the past three years. Plus we don't know why he left, he even said he would never leave Slipknot no matter what so that assumption is already invalid. "plus metal music is not the same anymore like it use to be. the only best metal bands are still left is slayer testament and exodus." Yep, it's not the same. It's evolving and I like what I see on the horizons of metal music with some of these young bands. There is a lot of great new metal bands and albums out there that have me excited for the future of metal. I really wouldn't call Slayer (just my opinion, I still love them) one of the best unless you are just talking about thrash, there has been thousands of bands that make Slayer sound like a nursery rhyme since their peak in heaviness, talent, etc. even in thrash. And that's coming from someone who was a huge Slayer fanboy for years. I can agree that Tastement and Exodus are two of the best old school metal bands still going, but there is plenty of great newer metal bands as well that deserves more respect from close minded metal elitists (or the cancer of metal, as I like to call them) than they get. Especially when those newer bands blow some of the old school guys off the stage when they open for them, which is always funny. Have a great day/night and keep rockin'! \m/
