They both lost their sound. Immeasurably. Who ever told Matt he was singing wrong fucked is sound up. Yes understanding it can lead to a herniated throat, like Chester, but he sounds nothing like he did in Ascendency, Crusades or Embers. "Pull harder on the strings of your martyr" "the decieved" "ignition" "when all light dies." Like night and day.

That bass is so damn heavy sounding. Such an amazing song

The fact that Trivium ALREADY have 7 albums under their belts is phenomenal. If they keep at this pace, who knows how theyll go down in history. I just know that theyre one of my favorites. I made the mistake of stopping listening to them for a bit because my friends said they werent "real metal" and that they went "soft". Then i thought, who gives a fuck what other people think, theyre amazing to ME. Also, Alex Bent is FUCKING AMAZING, I think they have rediscovered their form

It's like people forget he has to have surgery.

Even though I listen to lots of black metal,death metal,thrash metal,folk metal,heavy metal and power metal,I still manage to come back to Trivium.they have that energy and uniqueness no other metalcore band has.btw the other metalcore bands I listen to to are unearth,shadows fall and lamb of god.i can keep on rambling on many reasons why I enjoy listen to those bands but that's for some other time.long live Trivium.hails to all things metal \m/

You can just see it on all of them... They have so much more passion for their music than a lot of rock bands...

If you ask which band should represent modern metal scene, "Trivium" is the answer! Hands down! A perfect balance of Heaviness+lyrical depth!

A Live DVD with this kind of production quality would be amazing!

So this means they've released a video for 7 out of the 11 songs on the album! They have one for The Sin and the Sentence, The Heart from Your Hate, Thrown Into the Fire, Betrayer, Beyond Oblivion, Endless Nights and now The Wretchness Inside. That's insane! They might as well do all of them. I love this band

I usually play it in drop A sharp, since that is about as low as my guitar can reliably get. Obviously the notes are a whole step higher, but I have an app to change the pitch of songs so it matches up when I play along

This albums always gonna go down as one of their best, I still remember how excited I was when I heard matt doing his old scream to put out this album and holy shit it's a masterpiece not to mention putting wretchedness on the album!! Edit: for those who dont know this song was originally ghost written by matt back in sometime on 2013-14 (I cant quite remember) and was never used, so someone suggested matt put the song up and reworked it with the band and this is what came out!

The riff in this song is just so damn good.

Finally. A band that’s makes ridiculous drop tuning actually sound good. Killing it as always guys!!!

Favourite song on the album. It has that evil, brutal yet somehow funky riff. Love it!!

Alex looks like he could solve some university math shit while slaying the drums like nothing and still fall asleep, dude is a beast

12 years ago Trivium was the first metal band i've ever listened. They are still one of my favourite bands. I love it how Matt put so much emotion in the songs. Great!

Wouldn't day it was underrated, all these songs have seen massive love from the metal community raking in a shitload of views for just the album stream on youtube, and wretchedness is one of the most played like someone said before? Definitely not underrated.

I discovered Trivium only 2 years ago ( thanks to KZread) and they are always improving...i realy love this band and their members appear to be really nice people ! I'm living in France so i will never be able to see them in Live saddly :(

Simon Wanger I like them both. Alex is far better in every way, but Shogun is my favorite album so I'm slightly biased toward Travis.
