Just paying it forward, I ran out of petrol once and another guy on a bike went and get me a jerry can. They are pretty economical when ridden steady.

Great video, love the idea of 4500 miles update. I am waiting for spring to buy a scrambler and your videos really did the trick on convincing me. PS. Arctic Circle is not hard to reach by road trough Sweden. You can try to go on Swedish Baltic coast and then nordkap and return trough Norway so you go above the arctic circle, see Santa Claus in summer, have a 24 hours of light day and see most of Scandinavia.

Awesome, good to hear that mate. Glad I could be of service in making your decision. It really is a great bike. It would be a great adventure though. 24 hours on sunlight haha I'm not sure how id be able to deal with that :D

Triumph have come a long way with this generation for sure! I'd love a tiger or the new v-strom for munching miles and keep the bonnie for sunny days, but realistically the bonneville is plenty capable for me!

Oh yeah definitely, are great machines. Not knocking the previous gen because if you ask me they are like the "pure" bonne iterations. if you get me? They are very capable do it all bikes, look at that fella who's now the youngest guy to circumnavigate the globe on a BONNEVILLE! Thats why I sort of want one of these big "adventure" bikes just for the mad mile munching that they are made for.

I think an R & G fender extender would go a long way toward fixing your front wheel spray issues...

You should look at the Tecbike camshaft. decat tune etc then you can get 1200 power almost.

I have, Ive even spoken to him about it when they originally announced the cam kits. When the SS ones become available, I might look into it but he reckons its only a 10hp-ish gain. But tbh now theres a 1200 scrambler potentially on the horizon, I personally don't really see the point right now as when thats released im gonna jump on that pronto :P

If you decat, don't forget to get them put the 'Vance & Hines' engine map on it 😉👍🏻

aye thats what i was planning on doing but freespirits reckon you can fit it and then the "original self learning system" will "retune" the bike for the decat. But im sceptical gonna see what my dealer says.

Love the filming and the content. Thank you. Have you noticed any annoying vibrations through the handlebars at motorway speeds? Also, any brake squeal? i have heard the Bonneville suffers from noisy brakes. I only ask as I want to buy this exact bike. Thanks, Lee

Hey man thanks alot I appreciate it! I honestly did not. I didnt do a lot of motorway riding on the street scrambler but when I did it was generally ok just a bit of work to stay at that sort of speed. As for the noisy brakes, it never suffered from that either but I did tend to serice the brakes every few thousand miles or so. Buy one you wont be dissapointed!!

"off roading" lol bruh that just a gravel/dirt road. but i guess y'all probably don't have many areas across the pond for real offroading. and i don't think it put the scrambler into that situation for a good couple years, you've got to get the relationship well and established with the girl before you get all freaky lol

Surprised about your tires. I'm at 8,000 right now, and they should go to 10k miles easy for me. You're doing burnouts, aren't ya! ;-) I was checking some reviews for the Metzler Tourances and the average lasted 10k, with some people doing 12-14k. I'd like to put TKC80s on and hit the dirt more, but I have a few long trips coming up, so I think I am just going to get the Tourances again in a month when I hit 10k.

haha I do tend to hoon about quite a bit and I do love a good skid :P I exaggerate they do have a bit of life left in them probably not gonna see 10k out of them but maybe the rest of the season. TKC80s are great though had them on my old Daytona, and the bike handled as well with them on as it did with proper road tyres.

Its ok definetly need to adjust the shocks though, on the highway its ok up to about 75-80mph then gets pretty awful. Would stronly recommend a screen for any exteded highway riding.

How many miles per day can you comfortably ride on the Scrambler while on tour?

  • @KrisMOTO23

    @KrisMOTO23

    7 жыл бұрын

Its very dependant on the person. but comfortably id say between 250-300. But I did do a 14 hour stint doing just over 600 miles on the return leg, and tbh it wasn't that bad.

I've done 1100+ miles under 24 hours (saddlesore 1000) with the bench seat. Having Moto-Skiveez adventure underwear helps big time for me since I lack a bum. I think Kris hits the hammer on the nail though, it varies based on the rider. I've a done a few 500 mile in a day trips with no complaints for me.

I couldn't disagree more about the LOOKS of that seat. The stock seat looks way better. If you feel it's more comfortable to you, great. But don't try to sell the look, it's bad. If the stock "pillion?"...(puss pad) is to uncomfortable (I've seen way worse), they'll just have to walk.
