People get jealous, how can you be so happy 😁😃😄😆 when they are not! They forget the number of years in experience that you have and you are already done with the hard struggles in life and now is the time to smile at things which you would have frowned at two decades back. Keep laughing and smiling and make us do the same. By the way, did you notice that the handle grips and the brake & clutch levers of the Meteor are larger and chunkier than the 650s? I don’t know about your hand but for me, a 5 feet 6 inches guy with small hands, it’s quite a reach to turn the ignition, horn or the turn signals. Even to reach for the clutch you have to consciously put an effort 😜.

I have rather large hands so for me the levers are fine. Thank you ever so much for the kind words. People are WAY to serious these days. It amazes me at times. Motorcycle are fun and for me, its just normal to laugh and giggle every time I'm on two wheels! Thank you Soumyadeep and please help spread the word about my little channel! Cheers!

Thanks for the video OMR. It'll help me when I set up the Tripper on my new Meteor. I was at Ohio Powersports the day before you, wanting to pick up some spare parts to keep on hand. The RE internet connection was reportedly down, so they were having difficulties with part numbers. It seamed to me that almost everyone at the dealership was helping me, including the owner, who must have spent upwards of an hour on his computer, helping as well. Can't ask for more than that! I agree, they are a good bunch. Really happy with this bike so far!

Nice! Discovered your channel a month or so ago - right before I got my Fireball Yellow Meteor at a small dealer in Xenia - and I'm really enjoying your posts! Like you, I've ridden 50+ years (bought my first bike the day I turned 15-1/2 in 1968, much to my mom's dismay!). I've owned everything from a 1962 Honda 150 to a custom Arlen Ness Victory Kingpin, but I'm very happy now to be back on a smaller bike that's a simple joy to ride. Btw, I'm also a Cali boy living in Northern KY the last 15 years, so maybe I'll see you on a backroad one of these days! Till then, thanks for your great videos, and keep'em coming!

I have the Himalayan with this on. If you are using it to a destination with lots of short direction changes in the navigation it’s not very good because of course you can’t see what’s coming up after the turn you are about to make so it’s almost like a surprise what comes next which i actually find to be quite dangerous. However for longer sections eg on a main road it works quite well.

This tripper function would be handy when in cities for sure. When planning a ride I plot my track on my PC and then transfer it to my Garmin GPS. The map I have loaded on the GPS ( and Basecamp) is not that useful in cities. I have in the past used an old Android ( mounted on the bars) phone with off line maps loaded to find my way through towns/ cities. This option would mean I can keep my I phone in my jacket and do the same thing.

Hi I've got the super nova. But have to say the Tipper is absolutely awful. Planned a ride which I have never done before. After a few miles my phone must have lost mobile signal. Looking down noticed the the Tripper had turned itself off and was just showing the clock. I've ended up purchasing a TomTom 550 dedicated sat nav. Which gives you more turn by turn information. Watched another review and they had the same problems with their Tripper , I also have a Beeline which works much the same way as the Tripper but a much better device as I've never had a problem it not turning itself off. But it does have its limitations. Ps love your videos. And I can honestly say that the Meteor is probably the best bike I've ever owned. Absolutely love it apart from the Tripper.

I have put some 2200+ km in my Himalayan and used the tripper for few times. It is fine for highways but unfortunately when it come to busy areas and places with to many turns, it is just utter disappointment. It gets too confused. Maybe it’s just me and don’t know how to use it the way it was supposed to be. I would be happy to go back to no tripper option or just use the dial to see time. (10k INR for a clock, sure makes me look stupid) I also feel that google/apple maps are far far better in States compared to what we have in India. i picked up my 2021 himmy from my UK dealer in the city of Newcastle, the road i needed (A69) was only 3 miles away, but i didnt realise that the tripper on a roundabout says the exit you need eg 2nd exit..i just seen the left hand signal as being a retard and until i realised my mistake, had done 20 miles going left (first exit) on roundabouts and came back to where i started...but hey, i had 20 miles of the engine break in done 🤣🤣 now i know how it works its takes me any where i need to go with zero problems and is a fantastic piece of kit 💪😁

Picked my Meteor 350 up yesterday. I paired the Tripper with my phone last night and did a run today on a road I know well. It took me a few junctions to realise that the roundabout symbol just means ‘rbt ahead’, and the NUMBER next to it gives the exit. The navigation is very basic, and I’m disappointed that there isn’t more detail in the manual about how to use it. But it’s a brilliant idea and, like the Op says, I can see a lot more manufacturers offering something similar in the near future. Google Maps is so good as a route planner, and a simple interface like RE’s is a perfect complement. Loving the bike so far.

I just cannot help wondering how slow that meteor is actually idling at, and how low can it actually idle and remain stable. RE has done a fantastic job on the smoothness of that engine. I have considered the Tripper needless from the introduction. My phone already does all that, has a better readout and larger screen, and the Tripper requires the use of the phone anyway! It is a redundant and less efficient system. Plus the monitor, tacked onto the dash system, looks like a cheap add on. Sorry, I love the RE but don't like this system.

I have to agree. I have phone in the pocket, garmin Zumo XT as my nav. Can set route in nav using the drive app or just use the unit itself. It communicates with my bt earplugs and give directions and music and phone answering as well. Tripper is like a lot of other units, won't work without a phone. Only thing is lack of traffic alerts on the zumo if you don't have the phone with you.
