This bike is also popular with us oldsters who are downsizing! I'll be 60 in February, and that's why I bought a Fireball Yellow Meteor. I owned 11 bikes before the Meteor, including a Kawasaki ZRX1100. I wanted something smaller, simpler, easier to manage, fun, and economical. Plus, the Meteor is freaking GOREGOUS! I mostly cruise the back roads or the river anyway, so anything bigger than the Meteor is overkill. Anyway, I'm LOVING my Meteor!

Bought the same bike for the same reasons. I'll be 63 soon. Had to get mine shipped 1000 miles. Have an RT1100 I am selling. Meteor reminds me of riding my first bike, 1973 CB175 twin. Miles of smiles. Cheers

@@jamessmith5970 Yes it will. Is pretty much top speed but can do it.I've done it a few times for an hour and could have done another hour easily. Is best for secondary roads. If cruising at 65 is what you are going to do most of the time, then I would recommend using a bigger bike.

It is a special bike. So comfortable, you will enjoy it even at low speed. For those who r complaining about it's HP, There is a 650 super meteor coming.

Can confirm the Meteor is a great bike. I have the Supernova trim level. She's so easy to ride, comfortable, reliable, and unique in my area. I'm glad to see RE gaining some traction here in the US.

Hello, the Royal Enfield meteor 350 is not a beginner bike, but a normal great bike for anyone who loves motorcycling. I myself have been driving Harleys for 50 years, from sportster to WLA 750, nothing wrong with the meteor 350, a great motorcycle, I also bought one, great for touring both on country roads and on the highway, nothing wrong with that bike.

I'm really glad you bought a meteor and are having a good time on it, that's all that matters! For the record, a motorcycle that is easy to ride and safe for people to learn on is typically good for beginners, I personally do not consider that to be a negative thing.

I don't know where you live Rob but in Europe it's considered an ideal beginner's bike,I'm not sure why you seem to think that's a negative. Yes it's a great,versatile,bike.....and it's ideal for beginners with it's docile motor and ease of use.

I had a few 650's, and then settled on a Benly 200 that would hum along at 65mph smooth as butter.

@@dave8204 I think some people equate "beginner bike" with not good for experienced riders, where a lot of pros are drawn to bikes like the meteor for being a good all arounder

I’m 6’1” tall and mine is all day comfortable.great ergonomics.wonderful seat.

Good review. I went to a local Royal Enfield dealer to look at a used Honda Rebel they had. Took a test ride on a yellow Meteor 350 while I was there. Rode home on the Meteor instead of the Rebel. This is my nearly every day ride! Absolutely love this bike!

Do you think 20 hp is enough?? I’m not sure between rebel 300 and the meteor 350…

The only bike I ever bought brand new was a bullet in 2001. It was cool and had potential, but fell short in many ways. I keep hearing that Royal Enfield has dramatically improved their quality, so I may have to give one of these a try.

British and Indian army used Bullets in numbers. Enfield has rich history of producing guns before motorbikes.

Dang, i really love this yellow meteor!

I don't know why people are offended by word beginners level I take that as compliment as bike provide ease in ride and actually expand biking markets as bikes get safe and easier title.

Highlight of that bike is that it really has a nice little rumble to it that you can listen to all day. And the controls just feel so nice- good quality!. Having a tachometer for extra information is nice but when you’re riding this bike it’s so unnecessary -you’re just in heaven cruising around with it

I am looking at this for my next ride! For me it will be a daily commuter. I have a permanent leg injury that makes shifting difficult and sometimes painful so eager to try the heel shift. Thanks for the nice review and ride along.

The heel shift is a terrific tool for we who are a bit biomechanically challenged. Every touring bike should have this as an option.

Great video, keep up the good work.. Just ordered a Meteor Supernova in blue should be ready in about 10 days.. Returning to biking in the UK after not having ridden for 15 years or so. Looks like this bike will be perfect for little days out down country roads that I plan to do.

Go for it!

to have fun on this, its best to short shift the 1-2 gears. then long shift 3rd till 80+ kmph then shift to 4th and cross 100 kmph and thats it. shifting to 5th gear doesnt rally do anything but just calms things down (NHV wise) . super fun!

Thinking about one of these to get me back on the road. Been 10 years since i rode last due to health problems. My adult sons could also use this as a beginner bike to get them out there.

It’s perfect for that.

I've always used tubed tyres in my bikes. Puncture? I just carry levers, pump and a tube. Being a trials rider has taught me how to do a quick-time change at the roadside

Its a commuter ..its what you need when you start your biking journey and one you need when you are ending your biking journey :) An inexpensive easy to maintain easy to ride easy to own I love mine

I will take one in the next few month once my wife allows me to do😂😂😂

I think 100km/h for a motorcycle is enough speed to achieve your destination ( considering long distance destination), otherwise that much speed also doesn't need for a normal human.

Damaged my XR rear camera twice.. 😭😭😭. . The second damaged is because I forgot that I have damaged the first one 🤦🏽‍♂️. I use CRF 250 rally for long trip.

I bought one about a month ago. I’m really enjoying it so far. The manual says to shift from 1st to 2nd at 14 mph , 2nd to 3rd at 23 , 3rd to 4th at 31 and 4th to 5th at 39 mph. All of these shifts feel early to me. Like the bike is struggling. Has anyone else felt the same with regards to the shifting speeds?

Is the Breaking In period on these bikes really necessary? The official Breaking in mileage seems harsh but all the review vids I've seen on new bikes have had the riders just ride it normally up to 60mph no problem.

I have the red fireball here in San Diego and am trying to find someone that is able to extend the controls forward about 5 1/2 to 6 inches, if you know anybody that has done it or willing could you let me know?

The interceptor has a center stand so it is possible to fix a flat on the road

the windshield doesnt work for me. i am 172 cms in height and i get too much wind noise. so i removed it

Love the motorbike, great presentation however it seems to be lacking accessories such as hard bags or a hard tour pack

Yes, our demo bikes are usually kept close to stock.

I’ve plugged car tires and ridden another 30,000 miles. Why wouldn’t it work on a motorcycle? I thought that was the big selling point for tubeless tires.

It have a great mileage 45 kmpl Or 100 miles per gallon

I am realy beginner ... do you recommend it over the Interceptor and GT? :)

I do! Unless you are larger than average especially tall. I recommend the Meteor, then Interceptor, then GT in that order.

I own one and it is underpowered, as compared to most any other 350. When I want to ride with friends, I take a bigger bike to keep up. I do love the Meteor for comfortable solo riding at a relaxed pace, but our 2 lanes are 65 mph, and the freeway is 80 mph. Meteor is not up to the task.

It’s more than a beginner bike. It’s for anyone from 18 to 80. The bikes are fun back into motorcycling. No plastic coverings no computers to speak up. No ride modes. Just pure fun. Country roads back roads just riding. I have been riding Harleys for many years. I am almost 70. These bike are what motorcycling is supposed to be fun for everyone all ages not just young to start with. I don’t know how else to put it.
