The attitude era in the 90s was one of the most amazing times of my life. DX, the Rock, Stone Cold, I could name tons, but - NOTHING gave me goosebumps like watching a match or a promo then all of a sudden the lights all go off and you hear that tone, that 🔔 single bell noise.. and you could feel in your whole body the electricity in the place! Then Taker pops up somewhere and you knew it was over for everybody 😂😂 Oooooh the nostalgia that brings back!! When Undertaker and Mick Foley fought that steel cage match.. IT IS ENGRAINED IN MY MEMORY! And has been for over 20 years! It was by far the best match I’ve ever seen! THE ATTITUDE ERA WAS THE BEST TIME IN WRESTLING HISTORY! Period! (I’m not asking for your opinion or for you to debate me on it. Feel free to look and see I’ve never replied to a comment I’ve left. Argue with someone who gives a shit cuz I damn sure don’t! The Rock vs. Triple H at SummerSlam 98 is one of my favorite ladder matches ever. It isn't full of high spots or anything....it's just 2 dudes using the ladder as a weapon and just trying to go win the title because they happen to be in a ladder match. Incredibly underrated ladder match imo.

HHH was good as a face and could get the crowd to love him like that time he returned from injury at MSG or all the funny times he had with DX. But, in my opinion, he is the best heel of all time. He knew how to get under the crowd's skin so easily and I never heard such aggressive boo's at times like when his music would start playing. He really shined in the villain role.

Yeah, him and Vince are the two standout heels for me by far. I liked Angle as a goofy heel during his initial rise. Triple H’s 1999-2000 and then later on with Evolution in 2003-04, all fantastic. Best heel ever for sure. Cool as well that he had three managers - Chyna, Steph, Flair. He shifted quite well when he had to make subtle character adjustments.

Triple h was a face when I started watching in the attitude era. I liked his character but when he became a heel he'll make you hate him. Mean he did his job good.

HHH vs Rock is a very underrated rivalry. Their rivalry got me into wrestling. It's a shame it's not given enough credit.

The only thing people have on HHH is that he married the boss's daughter. That's like his main thing people use against him. One of the greats for sure! Still remember his return as a babyface after tearing that quad, oh man, that pop was on the same level as Austin and Rock! Great moment!

Those were the days I used to watch as a kid. Loved their dynamic,

I’m glad they went back to posting longer clips rather that like 2 minutes

I put HHH up there with them. He was the ideal badguy, he had the skill and the look and the style. It enhanced the Rock and Stone Cold when they fought him, as good as they would've been anyway, he made it way better

Two of the greatest. That Iron Match Match at Judgment Day is still such a classic watch. Really wish that could've been at Mania, but the two always put on some great performances together.

that was like the golden era of wwe/wwf, I rooted against triple H a lot of times but he's one of the greats for sure. And the pedigree is a devastating finisher adopted by many other wrestlers.

I’m happy He cleared that up when I always thought it would’ve been epic seeing the 2000 Back Lash outcome used for the Wrestlemania 2000 outcome which would’ve been so big seeing The Rock win the title on the biggest stage of them all when I don’t think that 4-way elimination match with the McMahons in each corner at Wrestlemania 2000 wasn’t that good in My opinion

Triple H is making genius moves right now. This is very similar to how Dana aligned himself with Nelk. He knows who the target audience is and it isn't the PG crowd Vince was simping out to.

One thing that I hope WWE does going forward with Triple H in charge is really cultivating their current younger talent. They've had a bad habit of relying too much on the older legacy stars. You're not gonna get the next Rock or Austin if you just keep plugging Goldberg and Brock Lesnar into headlining spots. It showed that they had little faith in their current talent to grow and develop into huge stars. Rock, Austin, and Triple H himself likely would've never reached the heights they did if they weren't given a chance to shine.

After the cameras went off on Monday night RAW in London, The Sheild had just ended the show on a bad note and The New Age Outlaws came out to beat up The Shield to send the crowd home happy. Half way down the ramp they stopped, pointed at the entrance and then HHH's music hit and out he walked - the place went absolutely fucking apeshit.

the rock vs hhh is my favorite wrestler vs wrestler rivalry of all time. when i was watchin attitude back in the 90s as a kid, triple h was the first heel my young brain was able to respect and realize its just a work. he and the rocks match at backlash will always be my favorite wwe match.

The reason Triple H vs The Rock worked so well is because it was a feud just like Bret vs Shawn. Both feuds worked because the two actually didn't like each other personally but worked together fine professionally. I believe Trips was jealous because he was in pro wrestling much longer and The Rock became the biggest star before him and instead of him. That iron man match Triple H had against The Rock at Judgement Day 2000 was epic.

Rock , Austin , triple h , late 90’s , early 2000’s. It was just too good . I was a kid back then . I never knew until about 2007 that the whole wwe was scripted, and then the interest just tapered off . I just loved watching wwe back then . Loved playing video games . It was cool .

I'm such a Triple H fan. Watching his rise is one of the craziest I ever witnessed.

Love that HHH took over just before SummerSlam & now he’ll be able to build towards Surviver Series, Royal Rumble & Wrestlemania. He will be in control of the big 4 PPVs creatively. Everything is going to mean so much more going forward.

Yeah Triple HHH was a phenomenal heel his beef with Rock during that time was legendary I always thought they would’ve locked horns at wrestlemania it’s unfortunate but I’m still happy with what we were given during that era!

Triple H was such a good character in the attitude era. He could start so much fire with everyone, really bringing out the best with anyone who shared the ring with him. Even towards the end of me liking Triple H [because he was legit playing an likable character so well] I would get excited when he would get involved with other wrestlers I was getting hype for.

That era will always be THE BEST OF ALL TIME!! Triple H was the greatest villain ever as well!! They should’ve gave him the John Cena win, the crowd wanted it 💪🏼

Would have loved to see HHH and the Rock duke it out one last time at Wrestlemania, but I don't think that it is going to happen because of HHH's heart problem. Not seeing these two at wrestlemania in a one on one match is a regret that we all share.

He already retired at Wrestlemania by laying his boots in the center of the ring and walking out. He said he can’t ever wrestle again because of the defibrillator device in his heart.

This man and the rock was my child hood. Literally. I hope he understands the impact he has had on so many lives and people. I watched him this morning on a British morning TV show. And the host couldn't stop smiling he was like a little kid again. HHH gave him a belt, an official one and he couldn't believe it. That's the impact these people have from young to old man. 30 years I've been watching this guy. And although I don't watch it as much as I did in my younger days from time to time there matches where you have to check back in and have a watch. Great guy.

That Era was the beast wrestling ever. I am the same age as The Rock, so following along with his career was amazing.

I would rather it have been rock vs triple h at mania. Shit would of been amazing, like the iron man match.

Who interferes Austin or taker ?? They both came back in backlash & judgement day to help rock after mania.

1:04 it was EPIC, Thank you HHH for giving my teenage era something to talk about and look forward too. MII and my best friend at that time roared at that loogie The Rock spat in his hand whilst laying the smack down on you, we were watching on a small screen but that was a HUGE loogie lol 😂 Wouldn't have been the same without you (Good times)

Triple h remains the most impressive heal i have ever seen in wwf/wwe. He does it better than anyone else.

The rock is loved by all generations that a true skill. He's still relevant since our childhood days and had hits in every generations

Prob one of his biggest regrets was the evil bullying him and Shawn tried to put on him to diminish his push (check out Smackdowns first show with HBK as ref then watch the kick at the end), the jealousy and hatred was real.

Then he went on to push Batista as a babyface in a storyline where he's secretly plotting against the latter. This finally culminated into a match at WrestleMania where he lost the belt cleanly to Dave giving him the biggest moment of his career. Know your facts before you run your mouth

Some of the matches and rivalries back then would fill out a ppv today but back then… it was a Monday. I’m glad I grew up on it and thank you hunter for being one of the biggest and best to do it

Stone cold, Triple H and The Rock are absolutely three of the greatest ever! The Attitude era was fucking epic because of them and the teams they forged .....seriously miss those days!

Their rivalries towards each other were pure gold.

The star line up was so strong, HHH ,DX, Angle and Regal as heels- hell of entertaining times just on normal nights on Raw and Smackdown- good times.

Man i can listen triple h for hours there are so many stories if that era i am 30 now time flies so fast 😊

U can tell he knows him when he says rock and not the rock.

Best rivalry hands down.

There was a HHH match with Micheals in 2003 I think that helped out a stale RAW at the time when Bischoff was there. Love that match

That era of wrestling was unmatched

HHH is the greatest heel of all time.

I thought the Hulk, Macho, Mr. T, Rowdy generation was going to be the peak of the WWE, but that next generation Triple H, Rock, Autstin, Angle, Undertaker generation killed it.

It's not only the talent, it's how the characters and persona's meshed perfectly plus it wasn't pg13. I was born in 1996, I was 3 years old playing WWF Attitude on either Nintendo or sega and fell in love with it

HHH one of the greatest of all time and in my opinion the greatest heel of all time along with orton HHH's love for sports entertainment is on a different level he created many guys from NXT and now he is playing as the new head of creative.

HHH is definitely one of the best heels of my generation. I can't remember which PPV it was. Itwas years ago, but I remember it was a 4 way match for the title and it came down to rock and HHH battling all over the arena. Then HHH won from Vince interfering in the end, and the audience went ape shit. They were so pissed. 😂 They started throwing chairs and trash in the ring at Vince, HHH, and Stephanie. Lmao

A heel is when a wrestler goes from good guy to bad guy and vice versa. Called turned heel. But triple h was always a bad guy or face. I don't remember him being a good guy turn bad.

@@gmangmail1511 with dx they were heels, then turned face. When he turned on x pac and dx and went to the corporation, that's when it seemed like he went from face to heel and stayed in that role. I remember him being injured and coming back after months of healing and therapy, he was a face for a lil while. Mainly because ppl were happy to see him even if they hated him, he kind of fell in a face role for a lil while. It didn't last long, he went back to being a heel again. Lol

We were robbed of two huge Wrestlemania matches. Rock vs HHH & Rock vs Undertaker.

The HHH, stone cold, rock, taker, Kane era was lit!!! 🔥 🔥🔥🔥

I used to have the exact summerslam hes talking about 1998 i think, it was on VHS (ladder match for the intercontinental). Was actually a sick event! The main event was undertaker vs stone cold. Which tbh sucked compared to the ladder match!

Man i loved HHH. I used to feel proud to stand out for HHH being my favorite.

My childhood in the uk would be my father recording wrestling for us in the week we would watch it on the weekends when we would go to visit and pop in blockbuster for some dvds and some play station 1 games, was the best times

His one regret of course is, he COULD NOT hold back The Rock like he did to MANY others with backstage politics 😂😂😂😂

HHH really gassin himself up in retrospect. Him and Shawn Michaels tried to sabotage Rock's career early on because they were jealous of Rock's talent and didn't want him being a championship contender.

That's why he acknowledged that he realised how charismatic Rock was when they 1st met. He knew that Rock was good & he came after Triple H & reached the top before he did so of course he would be jealous. Most people would be because Rock hadn't even had that many years under his belt before coming to WWE. He debuted green at end of 96 & was in the main event of WrestleMania in 98. He kinda jumped over Foley & Triple H to the top spot.

What good interview nobody ever did a podcast with triple h pretty good 👍👍👍

I hated HHH so much in 2000 and that means he did his job. He’s the best Heel ever for me.

He talks good of Rock now but he dogged Rocky back in the day with HBK and steady tried to bury him but you can't stop a mega star. HHH and Rocks fued for the IC belt in the 90 's was epic but once Rock elevated he never looked back . Not that they never wrestled again , they never fueded again .
