In this video FitnessFAQs will teach you how to get big triceps with calisthenics. The bodyweight tricep extension is the #1 bodyweight exercise to add mass to the triceps. The beauty of this bodyweight only tricep exercise, no weights are needed to get amazing results. You can do this workout at home with any equipment really, you don't need rings or specialised bars.

    ive been lifting for 20 years and always struggled to hit the inner triceps head properly.. i started doing these a few weeks ago and its been a revelation.. finally working the triceps properly! great exercise!

    It is one of the most difficult exercise that i have ever had after switching lunges and in and out exercises, it is more challenging and Gymnastic Rings shows me another level of workout in my calisthenics journey.     Just did these as part of the body by rings series... major ab workout too I used to be a gymnast.... I scaled up the Body by Rings... thought it was going to be too easy... Was so excited that I was wrong. My Abs are sore ... deep within... as is my entire upper body. I don't think I'll be going back to weights again for upper body :P. Thanks Daniel - master of calisthenics :P Your workouts take me back to Building the Gymnastics body by Coach Sommer... the beginning(his new website is ehh)

    I found that keeping tension on the triceps and engaging the anterior deltoids as little as possible is facilitated by engaging your lats. It helps you to avoid pushing up like an overhead press and perform more of a tricep extension. Though I realize that with rings it’s less of an issue, more important with a stationary anchor like a wall, table, or bar.

    I use to do these a lot when I first got rings. The problem I had was my core couldn't stay tight enough for the harder progressions.

    It seems using rings has the best of both worlds with a tricep extension. It has the deep stretch, and also has the most tension in the extended position, due to gravity on your body angle now being an added factor, over cable machines for example.

    I put 3 fr long steel pipe in between two patio chairs. Get on my knees with a pillow. Over hand grip the bar. And I stretch all the way until my nose touches ground. And back up. It hits that hard to hit area of triceps right underneath the rear delts. That flabby part. For me at least. Best workout.

    Can you help me? First, Congratulations FitnessFAQs! Great video. I've been cured of shoulder injury because of your tips (active/passive hang, mobility work, etc), but my triceps are still with a bit of pain after my push workout. Maybe I'm not stretching enough? I've noticed that they hurt close to where they attach to the elbow. If you have any advice, it would be great, thanks!!

    I had to give up the extensions because of elbow pain. now focusing on triceps when doing dips, pushups. and my elbows were in. dunno what happened. I can do the extension even when standing and still feel the elbow

    RENALDAS Maybe is because your tricep's head attached to your elbow is too weak. You need to increase the basic strenght of your legaments near your elbow. But if you cant do that exercise with the easiest way i dont know...

    Loved the tricep extension from BBR series, however ended up with serious pains in my elbows when doing this or ring dips. Stop doing doing the exercise goes away, start doing it again comes back!!!! So annoying as they are two of my fav exercises 😠 peace ✌️

    Do connective tissue work for the elbows, i.e cable or dumbell tricep extensions for high reps, low weights. At least that's what Alpha Destiny would say, check out his channel (i've never had long term elbow pain but I always make sure I warm up thoroughly with light weight extensions before heavier extension work).

    Defiantly nothing to do with my form, or lack of warm up. Think the connective tissue may be the issue. Will try the high reps lighter intensity on cable for a while see how I get on 👍

    noah He has mentioned in the past that he favors upper/lower l, thats what he still does is my guess. If its not then he is propably doing PPL routine. I just dont think he does full body becuase he has different goals for the upper body and the lower.

    I gave up bodyweight tricep extensions, tricep pushdowns are a lot better imo, weights and machines are king when it comes to isolation

    I did these bad boys on t rexes and drop setted them. Starting lower, going higher, and going max effort on pretty much every rep. The pump was insane AND I felt like a dragon ball character

    When I do tricep extensions on the rings for some reason I have a huge activication of my back.. While been able to comfortably do it on the bar at very low height on rings I feel my back does all the work :/ Any tips?
