At my old job working in the back of a grocery distribution warehouse, myself and the rest of the crew set up a tv in the corner, and for years we always had Jeopardy on, and then followed by Wheel Of Fortune while we were working. It became a nightly routine. It definitely helped us get through that last hour of work. He most certainly will be missed.

Alex was the youngest 80-year-old I've ever seen -- and his mind was as sharp as when he started. He did not age at all...we could have had him for so much longer.

As irony might have it, Trebek was actually an unreasonably nice guy. His class and humility was second to none. The man represented the absolute best humanity had to offer. May he live in perpetuity in our hearts and in our living rooms, shining his warm glowing smile on all of us from our television screens.

Mr. Trebek goes on that special people list with Mr. Rogers and others who have given of theirselves to make our lives so much better. R.I.P. Alex and thank you.

It’s going to takes months for me to fully process this. He talked about possibly giving up, but as far as I know he never did. Cancer is just needlessly relentless. But I’m glad we all had a chance to let him know how much he meant to all of us.

Alex was such a lovely gentleman. He was so humble to the degree that he refused to be labelled the star of Jeopardy. I love watching Jeopardy and whilst Alex is sadly no longer with us on Earth, he’ll forever be Alex the angel. We love you A.T!

As the Tin Man said, "Now I know I have a heart because it's breaking." If it weren't for this wonderful show, I would never have been challenged to watch more history and documentaries and increase my brain power. I was challenged by figuring out Final Jeopardy before the ersatz brainy contestants. What a wonderful human being who will be missed more than he could ever have known. God Bless You Forever, Alex.

It was my birthday yesterday and I cried all day yesterday because of Alex’s passing. I couldn’t even celebrate my birthday because of how sad I was. I knew it was going to happen but I still wasn’t prepared. I learned English by watching Alex Trebek on Jeopardy and a few other game shows but I mostly watched Jeopardy. My childhood revolved around Alex Trebek and Jeopardy and all of us fans will miss you terribly. RIP Alex Trebek. 💙

Me and my dad watched jeopardy every night together when I was growing up and it’s one of my favorite memories I have. Thank you Mr. Trebek for being the man you were and spreading knowledge in a fun way, I’ll certainly never forget you.

For the record, he did not walk OR crawl away. He hosted until he was WISKED away. He was an absolute BADASS in the quietest and most perfect, kindest way. Stood tall, worked hard, loved all, then just gone to better things. What a fantastic example he was and is. RIP you “son of a gun”.

Alex is a National Treasure! Millions of us grew up watching this lovely & kind man every evening. We made him part of our family and loved him like one. He was also wonderfully generous of his time and money to many charities. God bless his family on this great loss. I know Alex is now in heaven playing jeopardy with the angels. He fought the best he could. Now he is at peace and no longer in pain. God speed Alex. Rest in piece my friend and now you will be missed by millions of people around the globe. 💔💔

Still can't believe it. Been a fan of the show and of Alex for years and years and was a nightly watcher. I don't get worked up over celebrity deaths but this one hurts. I honestly feel like I've lost a friend. Rest In Peace Alex and thank you for the years of entertainment.

Condolences to the family ,he was a great man

My mother and I continue to be so sad about his passing. We watched Jeopardy together throughout the years starting when I was a teenager to now (late 30's). It felt like our time to spend with each other, and with Alex. Sending love and healing to his family, friends, and fans.

Some people see their childhood end with a movie saga. For me, I may be in my 20s, but it’s with the death of an icon. Alex Trebek has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. I even took the online test three different times. He will be forever missed and forever remembered.

I grew up watching Jeopardy with my mother. We lost my mother a year ago on November 7th of stage 4 lung cancer. He wasn't a burden to his family. They enjoyed every moment they had with him. Yes they hurt watching him suffer, hoping he would win but watching the cancer slowly bet him, but they still got to live in moments of his love and that is what matters to most of us who have or who had family members with cancer. From someone who grew up watching Alex Trebek: It is sorrow that you are gone, but I am also glad that you are no longer suffering from the pain that took you.

ive never watched a single full episode of jeopardy, yet im deeply saddened by this. i'll be remembering him by watching some episodes...

Thank you! Thank you Alex Trebek,you have been in my living room for many,many years. My mother the summer of '98, cancer was taking her out,she was heard me answering all of the questions to of one of the episodes of Jeopardy(correctly I must add) and she asked me"How did you get so smart?" It was the first compliment my mother ever gave me of my intelligence, ( she always told me the opposite of that) So, I thank you for that, you'll never know how much that did for me or meant to me. It wasn't very long after that, (weeks) that she was no longer with the family but that is one memory you gave to me,with my mother giving me that compliment and that is something that I will never forget! Thank you again!We will miss seeing you ! Condolences to his wife, family, and friends. We will all miss him !

My grandparents got me watching Alex Trebek years ago and I still until his last days .you will be missed but I know that your with God rest in peace in God's loving arms

We are truly going to miss Alex Trebek. My grandfather always watches Jeopardy I don’t know if he enjoyed the host or not but he loves the game! Alex was one of a kind breaking world records including his announcer Johnny Gilbert for doing what he does for the longest time . I can only imagine how he feels right now.
