I am smiling crying while seeing this video sitting in India. My nanaji came from multan and he kept saying that he will surely visit his birthplace. We lost him last week and all he kept saying in his last days was that how he spent his beautiful days as a Child in Pakistan before partition. We just kept waiting for things to get better, but they never did, and we could not take him to visit his birthplace. May he RIP. Love you nanu .

In Mexico they make a chile fritter called chile relleno. There's cheese inside the pepper (or some other filling), and it's served with a sauce made of tomatoes, chile peppers, onions, garlic, and cilantro (coriander leaves). Usually, the batter is thick and eggy, so it's not crispy like a typical pakora. It's really good.

I don't really understand the language spoken here, but when they brought in that gatte ki sabzi dish which has a type of black bread, one word instantly caught my attention - "kala" - black: in Romani language the word is kalo and it is pronounced pretty much the same way (derived from this is the word kale which is what Romani people here in Europe use to refer themselves as because their skin color is darker than typical European). Of course, this is not surprising since Romani language is related to languages from that part of the world from where the ancestors of Romani originated from.

The Romani are literally Rajputs. They migrated or "forced" to migrate after the barbarians headed by Ghori and Ghazni raided the borders of India, ie Rajasthan bore the brunt of the invasions. Yes, we defeated them multiple times, but if Prithviraj had known more about the Muslims and their tactics and true nature, he would have probably reconquered till Afghanistan, changing the face of the Indian subcontinent as we know it. And yes, there would have probably been no taliban or the Mughal period then.

yes, especially since rajasthan is on the border, and both the ladies shown here are marwaris i believe from pakistan side, from thar desert i would think. so they are bound to have even more similarities. as a pakistani not from these regions, these dishes shown are very new for me (maybe not the chili fritter as much though never seen something that big or commonly even in my part of pakistan), as they were for the gentlemen who are brahui and baloch.
