These folks are so great. Let me tell you a true donut story: Long ago when I was a teenager, some ruffian stole a bakery truck. In front of our house they put a brick on the accelerator and jumped out of the truck cab. The truck ran into a guard rail, flipped over down an embankment, the rear doors burst open, and hundreds of packs of donuts went flying out. The police and a towtruck came and hauled the truck wreckage away, but they left all the donuts! These were premium large donuts, some topped with pineapple chunks and frosting. This was about 2AM so there was nobody up but us who lived just across the street and heard the crash. After the police left we gathered up about 20 boxes of donuts. We had a large refrigerator and stuffed it with donut boxes. We had donuts for over a month. We almost got tired of donuts. True story.

Something like that happened with my dad finding a load of ice-cream snacks on his way home driving truck. It was winter so they did not melt and I became addicted to ice-cream, lol!

I agree, it's embarrassing how little jelly is in the Dunkins jelly donut. I've been barking up this tree for years and I feel like I'm the only one who has noticed.

I have noticed. Everything went downhill when Dunkie's started centralizing their donut-making in the US instead of each store making them from scratch. They may still make them from scratch in Pakistan, though.

My sister used to work at a local mom & pop doughnut shop. A particular member of the local law enforcement agency would come in and brow beat all the servers every visit. He ordered a jelly doughnut during one visit. She had to fill the doughnuts in the back since none were ready. Instead of injecting the doughnuts with one push of the lever, she did it twice. Needless to say, when he bit into it t,he jelly poured out all over his uniform My sister said it was worth getting fired from that job.
@thebigguy6034

@@cisium1184 Sort of ironic that the one doughnut they stopped making entirely when they did that centralization was the "dunkin" doughnut. It had the basic shape of a plain doughnut and it had a small nub built into it to hold onto it for dunking it into coffee.

Love the Boston cream! And the filled apple cinnamon, the lemon cream (if you can find it anymore), the French cruller, and the seasonal pumpkin spice. I usually go to Dunkin' once or twice a year, in the fall, just for the pumpkin spice. Munchkins (i.e., fried donut holes) are fun, too.

When I was a kid my family used to make donuts out of pre-packaged American biscuit dough. We'd cut donut shapes out of them (using a cutter) and then deep fry them. Then we'd put the cooked donuts in a paper sack filled with cinnamon and sugar. Shake the sack, take out the tasty donuts, and eat.
It's a win-win situation. These people get to eat interesting food and we are happy to see them enjoy.
Aren't the ladies just silly today!! SO fun.
Donkey donuts are always great!!
Yo what's the name of the traditional guy who always shows up by himself on the camera? Mad respect to him for taking up massive responsibilities when he was young. I know a lot of Asian families or tribal villages have this practice but when your brother of competent age is also severely disabled, you got extra on your hands to deal with.

I'm always in a good mood after I watch your panelists trying great tasting food and having such a great time joking around with each other! I suspect the U.S. has such a great variety of food because our citizens come from all parts of the world and have brought so many different recipes from their native countries over the last few centuries and.even more currently. Plus, there is a lot of experimentation in some restaurants mixing recipes together from different cultures. When a food mixing experiment turns out to be really tasty, the word gets out at the restaurant, and customers start asking for the recipe to make it at home. Mixing the different types of food preparation from different cultures is called fusion. I am very glad Mr. Rosenberg invented donuts! Just don't eat too many, or you will gain a lot of weight like many U.S. citizens have! People in the U.S. on the whole, were more thin in my grandparents' day, because they grew their own food, didn't use preservatives or cheaply made ingredients with unhealthy fillers, and the wives almost always cooked their family's food at home. In the first part of the 1900s, unless one came from a very wealthy family, it was a rare treat to go out to eat at a restaurant. I suspect your diet is quite healthy, because none of you look as though you ate too many sugary donuts! 😆 I can only dream of participating on a panel tasting Pakistani food and other foods, not as readily found in the U.S. Does anyone else feel this way? Is it time for a cross cultural food tasting exchange?
My favorite is Boston cream but i scrape some of the chocolate icing off because it can be too sweet if you eat too much

I miss Dunkin' Donuts. They don't have it where I live. Such a bummer.
I love powdered jelly, cream ( the vanilla icing not Boston cream) and toasted coconut.
I suggest similar European treats: Swedish semlor, Danish pastry, Austrian Appfelstrudel , French croissants, Spanish churros, to mention some....
I have been in Canada since 2001 and dunkin donuts have been my favorite coffeeshop but never understood the meaning of dunking until now thanks to Mehboob explanation. dunking means plunging something in liquid.

Oh yes! I agree with Ismail! When I was young I worked at Dairy Queen and then got fed up with the taste of ice cream! I do still love ice cream but not usually from there! 😂
It was funny when Manzoor & Mehboob broke open the last donut & ate only the insides. I find the inside part the oiliest. The ladies shared their secret for balancing loads on their heads, which is to use a donut-shaped object for stability. Some women in other countries use a thick, folded towel. I didn't notice a description of the store name in the subtitles. "Dunkin' " is short for "dunking", so the doughnuts, or the ones the shop originally made, were meant to be dunked.

I was happy to see them "gut" the glazed donuts! 😄 The sugary glaze has always been too sweet for me. I actually stopped by Krispy Kreme early one morning to find out if it was possible to get them glazed just on one side. The guy said no, but said I could get them w/out any glaze and dipped in powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar. He gave me one of each (for free!) and they were some of the best donuts I ever had.

What happened to the girl that always said "VIP"? I don't remember her name.
Of course they like Dunkin’ Donuts. A lot of their families work there.
I like the strawberry filled donuts, but my favorites are the long johns, you never had them in the video. They are about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide, with vanilla or chocolate frosting on top. You cut them in half, longways, and dip them in milk. I get a dozen of them, 6 vanilla and 6 chocolate, and eat them all in about 2 days.
Long ago the Dunkin Donuts place near me made jelly sticks... which were long, thin, crispy crullers filled the full length with jelly. They were incredible! For some reason, though, they were changed, and not for the better. They became shorter, fat, flabby and doughy, and hardly any jelly was injected into each. The earlier ratio of the thin, long, and crisp outside to sweet jelly core was gone! With the doughy result of the change, you might as well buy a regular jelly donut (yuck)! And then they even stopped adding jelly, and called the fat, doughy stand-ins "crullers" (though they were anything but, having lost all resemblance to the shape, texture, and genuinely crispy outside of a classic cruller!). Having a long, thin, crispy crueller was delightful, especially when it was jelly-filled. Now, if I want a donut, I'll get a round, fluted French cruller (a compromise, albeit a poor one), or stick with a lightly glazed chocolate cake donut, or go for an in-season apple cider cake donut (when available). About the only conventional doughy-type donuts I like are the chocolate-topped Boston Cream ones that have a type of custard rather than sickeningly sweet frosting inside. They are much better, too, if they are offered in the longer eclair-like shape. As for the rest of doughy-textured donuts, whether they are made with a center hole, or filled with some lame sugary filling poking out one end, they still have that doughy persona I don't find appealing. It doesn't matter how they are dressed up... whether they have a dusting of powdered sugar or topped with cinnamon-sugar, or glazed all over, or with vanilla or chocolate frosting on top, or decorated ridiculously with sprinkles or piped frosting to give them the appearance of a different donut. Essentially they are the same, grossly doughy type of donut... and the frosting and frou-frou touches will never fool me. Those kind were never ones meant for dunking in your coffee or tea, despite the Dunkin Donut company name. But they chose to concentrate on superficial variations of the doughy type rather than creatively expand their selection of dunkable and heartier cake-textured doughnuts and crullers. I find it sad that maybe 85 to 95 percent of the doughnuts offered by most of the Dunkin franchises and other places who mainly hawk donuts... are the doughy type. Hard to get a good cruller these days, and I do wish more variety was available in both crullers and cake donuts.
2:57 "it can not be dunked" My guy it's literally called DUNKin doughnuts. 😁

I loved their reactions to the donuts! They're my second favorite donuts, after a brand called Krispy Kreme. (They originated in the Southern US kinda close to the place where I grew up) They started to open shops in the Northeast where I live now back in the early 2000s, but I guess Dunkin' had such a strong presence up here, once the novelty wore off, Krispy Kreme didn't do well and began closing their shops up here. 😔 My favorite Dunkin' donuts weren't included in this video, though. I love Dunkin' Munchkins! They're not shaped like these are. In fact, for many years they came from the hole that's cut out of the middle of the ring shaped donuts! I'm not 100% sure, but I think Dunkin' Donuts was the first to come up with the idea so that they wouldn't be wasting any of that delicious dough! Other companies and brands now make their own version of donut holes but in my book, they don't compare to the Munchkins! Anyway... my favorite Munchkins are the cinnamon sugar and glazed. Once in a great while, I'll get a full sized blueberry filled donut but I've been disappointed the last couple of times because they only use about half of the filling they used to and it's basically the same with the powdered sugar on the outside. This was really fun! I'm so glad that they really enjoyed their Dunkin' Donuts experience! Much love and abundant blessings to everyone in the Reactistan family! 💛🕊🙏🏻

As for Munchkins, if I get them, I'll only get ones that are the "holes" cut from cake-type donuts or small baked or fried rounds from the same type of cake "dough" or batter (if that is their method so the result resembles donut "holes").

@@Sometimes-even-lyrical Those are the ones I'm talking about! ☺️ Dunkin' started out using the actual "hole" pieces and shaping them into little balls by hand. 🍩 They did that for many years, but now (using the same dough) they have a special machine, made exclusively for them, that forms them into perfectly sized and shaped Munchkins! 😊
I agree, there should be more strawberry inside
