Trevor Phillips: BLM uses race as 'battering ram to change society' | SpectatorTV

Trevor Phillips tells Andrew Neil that Black Lives Matter 'don't really care very much about whether black people are advanced or not', and that the organisation's 'understanding of the slavery experience is utterly deficient.'

If my brother is my equal then he wouldn't ask me the to kneel before him and if he expects me to do so, then he neither sees me as his brother or his equal.

I’m a 66 year old white English middle class lady. My life in the main has been wretched.

It's a sad reflection of the world we live in when simply hearing intelligent adults have a grown up conversation is a refreshing change.

My only bit of anger is when rich white or rich people of colour, tell me i have white privilege, because i don't feel much privilege lifestyle or financially

What I love about this? Two blokes, ignore what colour, two blokes who respect each other, like each other, and enjoy chin wagging with each other. What life should be all about, surely.....

I'll remember my 58 years of white privilege when I'm laying bricks, here in Australia in 100 F heat with 90% humidity. Every morning at 5 a.m. my back reminds me of my privilege as well

Critical race theory, an awful export from pseudo academia in America. Us native Britons on the periphery have enough problems without wealthy bourgeosie telling us we are privileged.

This man will never be on the BBC - I can guarantee that, he talks a lot of sense rather than utter nonsense

Clever Trevor, what a good egg, more sense spoken in ten minutes than I’ve heard in years a breath of fresh air.

Having pre-conceived ideas about someone because of the colour of their skin....didn't I hear somewhere that was wrong?

As a long-time racist I am livid that everyone else has been co-opted into what I always considered an exclusive club. 😅😅😅😅😅

Crikey... I didn't think the day would come that I agreed with Trevor Philips, but he is spot on when it comes to critical race theory and BLM.

-Trevor Phillips quite clearly shows that it is the way you behave that counts and not your skin colour, a real nice bloke, we could all learn from Him.
