Ooof, I hope that Trent Reznor is not secretly celebritized/propagandized too. For example, if Trent Reznor were one of the persons involved in being blackmailed by Jeffrey Epstein pyramid scheme cult, that would be a bummer. Marilyn Manson might be more likely, given he previously admitted to sexual activities with teenagers. Of Of course, he would probably lie under oath just like James Clapper of NSA or Google's Karan K Bhatia who lied to US Senate under oath claiming that Google does not manipulate search results using whitelists/blacklists, but then Zachary Vorhies leaked documents exposing that they do and have been for years, and far worse this year, even to the point of blatantly meddling with elections.

Serious kingkeefage I am crying to be honest you all, my brother Josh died before Thanksgiving of the flu, he was a huge fan of Reznor and Bowie’s music separately, and was sad that when they went on tour many many years ago his mum said he was too young to go. He would have loved hearing this... never saw that there was a series of The Watchmen, hell I didn’t know about it

I'd imagine it's a happy-sad kinda feeling. I had a close older friend who was my mentor on video games and taught me a bunch, and eventually I started playing MLG and winning prizes and money, and he was always there for me. He died a few years ago, and his son gets on his account sometimes and I play with him and teach him all the things his father taught me, and try to teach him to be respectful and enjoy the game and not be a sore loser... etc. It always makes me extremely sad seeing that little 'boop' with my friends name, knowing it isn't him, and never will be again. It makes me sad to play games without him in my ear making jokes and giving me tips and advice.. But at the same time I enjoy helping pass on what he taught me, and hopefully indirectly helping him teach his own son to become a decent guy and good man when he gets older. It brings me a bit of joy when he uses a technique or skill his dad taught me years back.. I know it isn't the same, but I feel like I can kind of understand how Trent feels and try to share my view on it with you. Losing a friend is always super hard, but being able to continue to share something with them can be a sort of catharsis and relief, and it can even be a happy thing. I'm sure Trent feels the same way, that if his cover could introduce the original to a whole new potential audience and show them how amazing David was... I'm sure it's absolutely worth it. My roommate had actually never heard it, liked the cover and looked up the original and she loves it! So Trent is sharing David's legacy in his own way, and I think that's pretty awesome!

Though there weren't any actual tears (and I am certainly a crier), I was full-on shaking after that revelation and the music that followed. The word "perfect" is 100% justified here.

I played lullaby renditions of Zeppelin, Bjork and Queen for my first born son.... Now I will play this for my beautiful Iris when she is born in February.

When your favorite artist of all time covers your 2nd favorite artist of all time for a show based on your favorite book of all time. This gives me goosebumps.

I never thought Watchmen would make cry. I was wrong.

I honestly believe Bowie had a special place in his heart for Trent...I saw them together on an interview way back. Can't you imagine how big his heart was, enfolding all the people he loved. Like a loving parent. Its still very sad this is such a beautiful piece

"Baby, we're in fucking trouble"

The beauty of this song is that it was so freaking apt after that scene where Angela frees Dr Manhattan from his self-imposed amnesia. You'd think such a massive revelation requires a grand song, but no, they opted instead for something as gentle and delicate as this rendition, as if it was more than just a release but a rebirth itself of a god. And yay for the title itself Life on Mars befitting Dr. Manhattan too. They could have used Bowie's original, but this cover is just simply divine. I'm gonna go cry my eyes out now.

The whole soundtrack sounds like yet another big shiny prize for you! AMAZING!

I got goosebumps listening to this, and it’s warm in here. Would have been interesting to listen to Trent sing this one, though...

I'm getting so many chills from these Watchmen soundtracks that I may soon freeze. SO gorgeous! What an absolute inspiration you guys are, in every respect. Never disappointed. THANK YOU!

goddamn trent. i'm your fan since 98 i heard your work first time. it defined my life, hobby, turned me into love to production of music and fascination about sounds. and still i got chill everytime i hear your work. atticus - i was amazed when i heard error e.p. first time (jack the ripper was... shit... how to tell what it was... it was it...). guys... just thank you for your passion, fragility, love to the sound and all the chills i got everytime i listen to your work. it got me through a lot of dark moments in my life and STILL you just show me how music and sound can change your reality. Interesting, that's when I started being a nin fan too. It was right after The Perfect Drug single was released.

The connection Trent and David seem to have had (to a person absolutely no connection to eithe) has been carried to this piece of fragment of art perfectly. Nothing else than respect

I come back to this cover over and over and it always causes an emotional reaction when I hear it. I can hear David Bowie singing in my head..

I found myself holding back tears at the end episode perfect ending to a great episode

Oh my god, I was hoping this would be out by today and I got my wish. I re watched the ending of the last episode over and over just to hear this cause it was just too good. If Trent & Atticus don't get award for this soundtrack im really going to be pissed off.

My goose bumbs got goose bumbs. This is such an amazing cover and homage to this beautiful song. Right in the feels.

When this track hit i teared up, Trent and Atticus have done their best work for The Watchmen! Every episode the music is beyond fantastic !
