I wish I could show this to my best friend. He was a fan of NIN. He introduced me to NIN and the brilliant mind of Trent Reznor. This hits me. He passed away on 4/9/2020 from an opioid overdose. I've known many people that passed away from ODs, but he was my best friend 15 years. RIP brother. I'm going to miss you bro. You were family.

nothing will top the downward spiral. best album of all time in my opinion. There have been some really great albums from Reznor lately and Im happy about that. I love the new NIN, but I will never forget the impact that the downward spiral has had on me. I felt related to, understood, and comforted by the fact that someone else has felt the same things I have. as much as TDS is a masterpiece, Not The Actual Events was amazing too. Reznor has been consistent as hell.

I don't think there is one best NIN album or EP. To me the most important album is "Fragile" simply because it was the first NIN record I bought. Also, put "Not the actual events" before "Add violence" in your playlist instead of comparing them. They belong together.

I agree! As much as I loved the NiN I grew up with, I thoroughly enjoyed “Still,” love his scoring work, and would not at all complain if this were the tone of the next NiN outing. In fact, I think there are things we can most definitely pull off in our youth, and they’re great! But attempted in our older age, it comes off cheesy, like Kiss or something. Have to continually evolve and I think this is a good step for TR

“It was an uncomfortable and risky track to work on, because it could veer easily into eye-roll territory,” he says. “At the end of the day we knew that if it sucked, it goes with all the others in the vault that no one’s ever going to hear. But how does one write a love song about the planet without groans? And that’s what was intriguing about it: Could we pull it off? And right up to the last second of sending it to Fisher, I was saying, ‘I don’t know, man. I don’t know,’ mostly because I was afraid. I reminded myself, after a couple of years not touring and spending time in the hot seat, that it always feels uncomfortable if you’re doing it right. That doesn’t mean the risks are always good. But in this case I felt alive again. I felt that uncomfortable feeling like I’m naked on stage and not sure that I want to be.” - Trent

Hello Wendy Ramirez, "We'll all be judged by what we leave behind" - Michael T. Reznor How poingnent for our generation... Harken unto Me: The voice in the desert is crying out to you... you of this final generation. Let him who has ears hearken unto the words of thy Lord, your God in Heaven. The Son of Man, your Lord Jesus Christ, with a broken heart, is crying over all the lost souls of this world, who do not seek him out. Do not tarry, to ask the Lord to save your soul while there is still precious little time left, in this age of Grace. Though I wait & stand at the door of your heart and knock, If you let me in, I will come in and sup with you. I will give you the water of life that will sustain your soul eternally. For the time is nigh & the night is far spent, and I cometh like a thief in the night... to gather my sheep from among the goats... to separate the wheat from the tares. The voice in the desert is crying out.. “Prepare the way for the LORD in the wilderness;a make a straight highway for our God in the desert.b 4Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill made low; the uneven ground will become smooth, and the rugged land a plain.c 5And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all humanity together will see it.d For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” - The prophet Isaiah, Chapter Forty. Are you aware of all the shear madness that is going to play out, this September 2020? I am praying to God to watch over you, protect you, and save you from this Great Tribulation that will begin shortly. I am crying out that you may open up your eyes & I'm trying to help save you by showing you the only way to be saved from this NWO mess Is to put your full belief in Christ Jesus, and to repent from your sins right now. Please, I'm begging you as a friend, cry out to Jesus so he can save you before this Great tribulation begins (may be only in a matter of a few weeks). I don't want you to deal with the horrors of what the NWO/cabal have planned out. Please, if nothing else, DO NOT EVER take the upcoming quantum dot tattoo vaccine that has RNA changing Luciferase (Lucifer's Race) bioluminescence ink. And don't get Bill Gates's RFID chip inserted onto your hand. These two combined items constitute the Mark of The Beast (Revaltion 13 &14). Your a great person. God loved you no matter what you have done in your past. We all have sinned. Even I stumbled, and fallen short of the glory of God. God doesn't want you to suffer the horrors of what is about to come in this Great Tribulation. But he gave us all free will to choose for ourselves if we will serve him, or not. Choose you this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house, I will serve the Lord your God. It would break my heart if you were left behind, to literally struggle through these upcoming last 7 years of the Great Tribulation, from which, the whole world will see the mighty USA, fall in one single day. Im warning you because I love you. Please call out to God & Jesus before its too late. Time's up... the show's over folks... last call for alcohol... end of the road. Whenever I hear this song I think of all my friends, my family that I love so much, the lost loves, my whole life and failures, the chances of me being born, my impact on other people lives, my choices... And in the end the irrelevance of all this. The hard, cold served truth that we'll all perish one day without a trace.

Lrdvltr yeah I agree some music isn't as important as other music, but to say talentless when she's one of the most successful entertainers in the world and among the all time being at nearly half a billion net worth on her own. I beg to differ. It takes a talent to sustain as an artist, and she's apparently worth allot to the people. I don't personally support her but its impossible to be talentless and have the success she has, in a field that relies on reaching out to people through the power of your voice and personality. That's being an entertainer.

But, now I understand that when Trent has to go, I will be mourning. What he has done for soooo many through his music, especially myself. If I can do what he has done creatively for many, and then some, to pay it forward, only then will I consider my life successful... Thank you Trent, for what you have already done, and what will be next from you.

Hey, this song is for today, tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year. I feel like this song is for the Earth right now. It just needs a minute to breathe. Look at all regrowth, the pollution levels dropping around the world because everyone is inside.

This song really helped me through the pandemic. I just need a minute to breathe... away from all the news, the destruction, the chaos.... I would hike up to my favorite overlook and listen to this and it helped. So as far as the comment referring to him not wanting to put this out (Lexie Graham thank you,) you never know what the future has in hand, so just put it out there regardless of what concerns you with what others' think. There is a time and place for everything, please share it. Thank you Trent.

It felt like a love song. "I just need a minute to breath" when you get in fights. "I don't want to say goodbye" because when you love someone you can't just quit on them for some reason. He really makes you feel like this is not just some rock we live on and can waste away. This is a relationship, and any good relationship takes dedication and work. He makes you feel like its all been taken for granted. It's truly a beautiful piece of music. Ross and Reznor are such a powerful musicians. It blows me away how refined and technical and human they are.

Alas, Dearest SaraSyn, I am the Lionheart of Joel, the Prophet. You are loved... "We'll all be judged by what we leave behind" - Michael T. I’m obsessed with “A Minute To Breathe”. I watch this every few days, for years, since it came out. I’ve noticed the environment getting so much worse every year. I live in Florida & the hurricanes 🌀 have gotten so much more frequent, & much bigger. It’s hot 🥵 AF now. You can’t be in the sun for more than 2 mins without getting burned. The ice caps are melting & entire villages are having to relocate. Species are dying off every year. It breaks my ❤️. & our government isn’t doing anything about it. People are so stressed out by their finances, that no one has time or energy to care about the environment.💙💙💙 our Mother is sick & dying. I have to see this documentary. I hope it’s not hard to find, & that it doesn’t cost money-bc I’m going to have to buy it, if so-& we’re on an extremely tight budget.

Very prophetic, just a minute is all it took for the earth to start to show her beauty again. Imagine if we actually learn from this pandemic.

Dear Lazarus Smiley, Amid the year of Covid-19, Event-201 & ID2020; I am the Lionheart of Joel, the Prophet. You are loved... you are cherished "We'll all be judged by what we leave behind" - Michael T.
