Treasure Hunting on a Budget - Minelab Go-find 20
Фильм және анимация
When exploring old ruins and around the place, I have always longed for a Metal detector to see what was under the surface. I had an old Whites detector quite a few years ago.
I dont think I am into gold prospecting, just old coins and relics.
The specs had to be cost effective, compact, but good enough performance. I want to be able to take it on the bike and the 4x4.
It has to spring to action quickly.
I settled for a Minelab 20. The lowest cost in the Minelab Go-Find range. It doesnt have the features of its big brothers, and the coil is a bit smaller, but it seems to be pretty effective in initial testing.

I picked one up second hand $80 . Unreal little detector . No setup turn on and away you go . Very sensitive on setting 3 . I run on 2 or 1 . Love it .
When you take out garbage, it's okay to throw it in the right place, not back in the sand!
I think you might have just talked me into buying one haha. Great idea with the plastic shovel too!
I did notice, you seem to be moving to quick for the are you want to cover. Your sweeps are missing about 1/2 to 1 meter of ground in front of you. Besides that, great video.
Cool video bro 💯💯 Thanks for sharing
Great machine, and location thank you for sharing. I just Subscribed!
I have always fancied heading off to the goldfields with a metal detector, getting a license and then being able to squat on unclaimed land for a while :) Would love to see a test with some gold buried at different levels to see how far it penetrates into the ground. Gold ring tied to a bit of string for safe recovery I have always thought might work as a way to test it. Love the little trowel idea.

If I get into it at all I will probably upgrade to a AT pro or similar. the AT Pro seems to be the standard with relic hunters.
Wooaaa...nice detecting and nice view... :D
Great tip for the shovel. I’ll pop to Bunnings when lockdown lifts. Too many people lining up there lately
Nice find mate
I'm pretty stumped how good the display is! Often the sun dulls out the screen but it looked pretty good. Another thing to add to the list! Cheers
nice video👍
I was gravitating towards the 40 and 60 of the go find series, because I heard that you should go for 200 bucks and above to get something good, but the 20 seems to be all you really need.
You have all the cool toys! You must be rich or single 😂 I hope to do some metal detecting one day

Neither :) Just work a bit harder/longer to get a few toys.
Really enjoy your give it a go attitude. Good stuff and happy hunting. Were you using active track or follow me on the drone shots? They were very smooth.

Yep, I was using active track.
Thanks, But i think i have seen a video on KZread saying that this metal detector doesn't support fast swinging. So you have to be slow with swinging it while searching. Otherwise i won't detect anything. Thanks again.

Yes, the recovery time isn’t as fast as a more expensive model, but it good fro the price you pay.. great for the beach.
Go find 20 can find gold nugget or gold treasures ?
