This is the down side of multi frequency. Battery life is greatly shortened lol. In a pinch you can always switch to a single frequency to extend your battery life which may or may not get alittle noisy on your salt water beaches. Or just buy the backup battery pack which is water proof and keep it with you at all times just in case. :) As for headphones you need wired waterproof headphones if you want to submerge the control box on any machine. Wireless signals don't travel through water at all.

You bought the Legend. You should have spent a little more for the pro pack and then you would have an extra external battery just for these circumstances like I did.

Why don't you put the Legend on vibration and then go deeper? Then you don't necessarily need headphones.
