About me…. I’m normally hitting the parks or the beach with one of the many detectors I use for metal detecting the beach and fields. Metal Detecting can be fun and at the same time a nightmare due to the way the beach is always shifting, but if you hit it on a good day... BOOM! could be GOLD could be SILVER! Incredible. You can use these videos as a kind of online education but they’re really not! Oh and make sure you’re detecting is legal.

Metal Detecting is a good way of chilling out, its a good bit of therapy, fresh air, long walks. Its also a bit like those unboxing videos you see on youtube because even though you have an idea of what's buried below your feel you're never really sure. I've been Detecting with Deep Digger Dan during his digging the coast 365, that was fun. I used his XP Deus... Very light. I started out using the Garrett Ace 250 and then added a Nel Tornado coil. After that I started using a Nokta Makro Kruzer and some how managed to find so much more on land I thought had been detected to death. Silver coins, WWII badges and bullets and down the beach I've even found GOLD and Silver Rings. In my latest video I've finally found a Roman Coin and A Saxon Strap End. Subscribe to continue watching and see where this adventure leads me next.

Some of you guys are missing the point. Is the go-find a detector you want as your main detector, of course not. But the fact it folds up so small and uses Alkaline batteries (instead of a rechargeable one that would be an issue leaving sitting around) and can be left in a vehicle or easily taken in a suitcase so you can hit places of opportunity that you happen upon during travels makes it a great little detector. Its definetely not an everyday machine, but being able to hit a beach or even some tot lots that you normally wouldn't is pretty neat. Wouldn't take too many trips to pay for itself with pocket change or 1 good gold ring. No one's saying this is a "great" detector, but its adequate and you couldn't pack a simplex, vanquish or even a bounty hunter in the small space this takes. Also who would want to leave one of those machines in a car? When you needed it thr rechargeable battery would likely be dead.

I had a 66 as my first detector. I figured that I’d keep it as a spare, or travel one, if I upgraded later. Really liked the tech on the handset, and the way it worked, but the build quality was poor. Within 6 months, the plastic shaft developed a fault - you could hear plastic bits rattling inside, and the whole thing flexed as you used it. Just unusable ☹️ luckily I was under guarantee, so I got a Vanquish 540, and it was the best thing that could have happened 😃

Amigo a ese detector le tienes que bajar la sensibilidad asta el nivel 2, solo así lo puedes trabajar en arena mojada. Y quizás tengas que bajarle más. Asta la sensibilidad 1

I bought a Go-Find 66 about 4 years ago. I don't know why. I never use it for all the same reasons as you highlighted on your video i.e. poor build quality, poor discrimination especially of bottle caps, slow recovery and not much good on wet sand.

Thanks for this one. My 7 y.o is very interested in detecting to find treasure. We are just getting him started with a crappy "security" detector that I was using for finding nails in timber. If I am going out to spend ~$300AUD, what would be your recommendation?

I’m looking at this metal detector to buy do you think the false signals could have been the rocks around that could have contained metallic material or why do you think? I’ve had a metal detector before but it broke so I’m looking at a new one would you recommend this one for just starting?

5.20 The Go Find isn't the only one that sees those damned Crown caps. So does the Legend . They come in at mid 30;s to even as high as mid 40;s and they are Iron. Nokta needs to do something about that. And the Fero check isn't that good at discriminating them neither. Had around £48 with the Legend so far on 3 hunts. Went with the E.Trac mid day Saturday and had my first Gold ring of the year and a Silver plus around £14 . Thats a machine to compete with ! As for the Go Find ? Not a chance would i waste good money on one. If you have the best you can afford then back it up with the same or similar . Arran , if you know of a way to knock crown caps from the Legend could you share that please. I wish the updates were soon . Well done on the finds .

There are many junk as well..like bottle caps pull tabs etc...I try to dig coins...instead of looking for rings and jellewery because if hunt those..I usually dig...so many junk.. aluminum etch..those beaches near me have millions of targets...I would love to start finding some rings though..what's your advice...dig everything? I use an old minelab explorer 2 😂

Iv got the 66 and have to admit it’s a bit outdated now, on its release the go find filled a small gap in the market. But what is still currently in its favour is it just folds up to nothing and will sit nicely in any suitcase 🧳 with its almost flat profile. I tend to think of it as just a fun machine for the Occasional day trip to the beach or a holiday definitely not for a Serious hobbyist but can still pack a punch.
