I believe the Sledgehammer tires are NOT belted. Traxxas makes no mention of them being belted. And in other videos, they balloon like crazy. Everybody immediately mentions how significantly the Sledgehammers balloon. I reinforced mine with braided steel wires.

I am glad you like the XRT. I have both the XRT and X-Maxx. I see you were running in the snow. With the XRT's big inlets. You saw that things got wet. The Traxxas bearings don't like water. You should check the cush drive and diff bearings. While it is apart. You should look at the diff. I think they forgot the lube in the center diff and not enough in the axal diffs. My center diff was dry and axal diff were just wet no lube. I wish Traxxas was 1# and 2#. I don't car for the other cars. 😀

First time I drove X Maxx I knew there was nothing like it.... for traxxas to have another car the xrt that does the same thing to you when you drive it pretty awesome.👍

Another fun video AJJAM. I love your style of reviews. No way can I afford a XRT. I rationalize being limited to spending a lot less by remembering . . . 99% of the time I am bashing by myself. No race tracks in my area. With my 1:10 scale I still have 100% of the fun for 1/2 the cost.

The review I was waiting for! AJ, not sure if you guys would be interested or not, but Instagram reels with the clips you guys have for the bashing would make a great success specially if you tag the companies and put the hashtags as well. Would create a whole new audience and most likely bring new people to the channel and hobby

I really like my XRT. It has been the most durable RC I've ever had out of the box indeed. It just needs better tires and an ESC. Mine has the MMX8S and stock motor/gearing for much easier backflips and air control. I'm using bigger duratrax lockup tires. Great video as usual 👍

Appreciate all the reviews!!Have seen most of yours AJ. Very insightful!! Noticing your cars/trucks on the shelves aren’t stored on a block or stand underneath the chassis. Might help with wheel balance performance going forward? (Flat spots on tires from storage and all.) Just throwing that out…I have found it really helps. Keep up the good work!!

Yes they are. We now have the Sledghammers on it and they run smooth.

Might as well try the speed gearing now while its cold out!

Really loving my XRT as well. Have you tried the light kit? I mounted the rear light with a homemade bracket attached to the rear shock towers. Reamed a couple holes in the rear body. Ended up looking like corvette lights...lol. All that so I wouldn't have to constantly plug it in again and again when popping the body off. Really enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing.

Im curious what you will think after running the XRT and Kraton 8S (on the same voltage) bwck to back in dirt and grass (no snow).

Get your tires off the shelf for long term storage. You'll create flat spots in your foams by storing them that way.

Is it just me, but for $1k I feel we should get Belted tires. I don't own any Traxxas RCs, but this 1 is heavily on my consideration list this year. But have a small fortune in Spectrum batteries

It comes with belted tires, but with our snow we swapped to the Xmaxx tires for the video shoot. The stock tires didn't do much in the snow.

Just bought the XRT. I also bought the Hobby Wing Max 6 Combo with the 1650 kv motor. What would be a couple of gear ratio that you would recommend? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Run the stock gear and check temps. Then the speed gearing and check again. That should give you a base line. You should be able to math out a good gearing from there. Thanks for asking. 😎👍

Subbed and liked! I’m debating between the xrt and xrt ultimate! What batteries are those and can I fit them on a stick xrt without any mods or soldering? This is my first rc and don’t know anything about soldering and connectors

Surprised that you haven't got any Paddle Tyres to put-on to your cars in Winter, they're Awesome for Snow-Running, as you probably already know, they give your cars superior grip in those conditions !!

Interesting comment. In the RAF vehicles in storage/not being used had chalk marks on the Tyres and the Land rovers etc. were moved forwards and backwards regularly (checking the chalk marks) to avoid 'flattening' the tyres.

Its a plastic Chassis from XRT better than a Alu Chassis from the Sledge?

Further testing will bear this question out. I do think plastic is more malleable but it can snap with enough impact. Metal bends and likes to stay bent.

Some of the part numbers are wrong. You need to order ones with the letter at end as some are incorrect with just the number

it dose not come with the bluetooth module . that is just a cover covering the port the module goes in...

The XRT now has new rims and tires that resembles the X-maxx

Hello from the US. The Link system works pretty good, but I've had issues when syncing multiple cars to it. Also, I'm not a fan of having to set my RC up with my phone. Sometimes I just want to twist a knob and get on with it. Also, as far as the Vorza goes, we can't afford every RC on the market on my salary. We are doing our best as it is. Thanks for asking. AJ

Fun. Meh 6/10 its fun but, not K8 fun. Durable. Meh 7/10 cracked 2 lowers the second run. Worth the money? No not at all. You have to upgrade the Servo right off the bat as i broke mine on the second pack. upgrade the power system right off the bat as it majorly lacks in power and gets very hot very quick on stock gearing, upgrade the radio right off the bat as it had very poor response and poor range. Rating 4/10 Compared to a Kraton 8s, K8 wins in every category straight outta the box. Straight outta the box in my collection it ranks very low. Total score 17/30
