XRT is awesome, you won't want to go back to 10th scale after driving a 5th scale truck...the battery hold downs will loosen up, Power Hobby sells batteries for it with supplied adapters that work great, so no need to change factory plugs, I use both Power Hobby and Traxxas batteries...The red looks great!!!

Nice truck and nice run. I love the 5th scale Rc’s. I don’t think they are as durable as the small Rc’s but theres somthing about the size and how easy they are to control

Change out your stock pinion and spur for hardened gears. Also put the speed gears in.

I had a lot of trouble with my rustler doing that, I plan on doing hardened gears but was unsure on how much I can gear it up driving it as hard as I do as long as I do. Any info on temps ? Thanks !

@jodxr mine has the max6 esc I've never had a problem with it over heating. I run the speed gears I think 24/46. I have gone through 5 sets of gears, turned out to have a bad motor bearing. Common problem. I jump the hell out of mine at a BMX track, the truck flies.

Both really nice rigs! Kraton better electronics and tires out of the box but XRT a lot lighter and easier to carry lol.

That’s an amazing looking RC! I really like the red color on it. What makes you go with the XRT instead of the Xmaxx? I’ve been researching for a while now since im switching hobby and I have this and Xmaxx on my wish list. I really want the Xmaxx but every time I watch an XRT video it makes me double guess myself

The xrt can do anything the xmaxx can do with better handling on road, if you’re looking to fly high and bash get the xmaxx but I do mostly park driving I don’t like jumping big stuff. Thank you also!

I have both and find myself ripping the xmaxx more. I like to walk trails and through the woods and the xmaxx is just better. It really depends on how and where you like to drive them

If I was going for a hike or walking trails, I can’t see how Xmaxx is/would be better. Obviously u weren’t arguing this at all, as u said u had found u are using your xmaxx more than the other. That being said, xmaxx is way more too heavy and bouncy. What is it that makes u feel like that’s a better option of something like the XRT or similarly the Kraton 1/5? Genuinely asking. Thank u.

If I can put a little bit more into it for the big rock guarantee, the big rock will give that for a run for the money I just need to get different tires for and other things for and I’ll race you and I’ll guarantee the big rock can come out on top or least close to it. I love arrma. BUT I grew up as huge traxxas fan and always wanted the tmax truck but never got it. Now I own the Keaton EXb 6s. Not sure which one I’m about to get next, but it’s between one of the new XRTs or the Keaton 8s. Either way I’m getting one soon. Taking a week to decide and then ordering.

Truck looks nothing like a Kraton at all. I have them both and I'm looking at them side by side like who the hell would think that??!! Much prefer my XRT, Kraton is waaay tk big and heavy and not nearly as durable albeit faster.. My XRT is a beast and I use SMC Lipos and the Traxxas set. I did upgrade to the hardened gearing and not one issue with heat at all

What kind of runtime do you get out of those Traxxas 4 cells on your XRT?

@@jodxr It was either a traxxas 1/6 scale or Arrma 1/6 which one do you think i invested in? LOL. Why would i spend 1000.00 on an RC and then end up having to replace the ESC, monkey metals, diffs etc. I'm not a brand loyalist, I prefer value over brand loyalty, my Rlarrlo terminator has more value for me than my Xmaxx ever did LOL.
