I've got this same color. It's a gorgeous machine, so much so, that i just sit and admire the thing in my living room. And it's definitely not underpowered.

Traxxas really has made something new and surprisingly good. I like it!

I like this format of EP1, EP2👍 XRT looked good. Best line "Holy crap, I'm a Traxxas fanboy!" 😆🤣

The truck is a lot of fun, and looks really good ripping around. But, now that I have had it out a few times, I do feel the system is great for smaller areas like this. Once you get it out in a larger area, you start to see the limitation.

I currently run 46/20 gearing and a Hobbywing max 6, with those upgrades the truck has performed great for me.

Great first run Jason!! That’s good to hear that the stock ESC is decent now. My Xmaxx ESC ended up glitching on me so hopefully this version will not do that. I think those stock gears are already on their way out. I have seen a few people get away with the spur if you use a different pinion gear plus ditch the pins 👍 Gotta watch the second video now 🤩🤩

Loose is fast remember that. I love those tires. But they are good for road and dirt. That’s where l run. Good vid .

lol when you said that servo wasn't that bad I almost fell out my chair laughing cause it's horrible. I put on o8s tires and that servo barely moved them even on road. I can't even believe they put a 25kg servo in a 1/6th rig 😱. The stock tires actually work decently well for air control with the optional gearing. Stock gearing the air control with stock tires is ROUGH. Great video bro 😎👍

Cool bash with the XRT, I Currently plan to get another X-Maxx and do a few mods to it but i might look at an XRT again when i buy either this Truck or a Kraton 8S EXB.

I actually LOVE the stock tires, it slides around and handles like a car while having good control for me.

I ordered my Xmaxx the day before this was released. When it released I was able to cancel the Xmaxx and then had to wait for a local B and M to stock it. From what I can see it will be exactly what I hoped Traxxas would make. A giant sledge.

I’ve been enjoying it. The Xmaxx has a bigger feel since it’s taller. But the XRT is more fun to drive. IMO.

Max6 on stock motor and 23/46 speed gearing turns a stock xrt into an animal. Love mine. Rides wheelies as easily as my outcast 8s does.

I prefer the bigger trucks when filming or just driving around. It's much easier to do both of those. Thanks for the video 👍. I never use the pin system for the Xmaxx. I would always do it manually. It works way better like that.

I think it was around 15-18 minutes.

I seen a lot of people say that there gearing was not right with the pins system and they thought it was so it was causing allot of extra heat problems from the factory. I don't have one just seen a couple videos on it.

I'm happy you like the truck. I feel the same way. I think it is probably one of the best rc's I've ever driven stock out of the box. I put the speed gearing in it and a max6. I really feel that's all it needs. The motor Temps have come down after installing the max6 in my truck. Why that is, I have no idea. Will this be as reliable of a jumper as the xmaxx? I don't think so, but it does everything else so well that I don't care.

I think because the HW max6/max5 whatever you put in draw out more power then needed which keeps everything cool :) Ever since I geared my sledge 16/46 (everything m2c) and max6! Combo it’s been pretty cool. Even on 8s!

So if you had to choose, arrma Kraton exb 1/5 or Traxxas xrt? I want to get one of these but not sure which why to go. Please help.

How did u not strip the gears? I literally drove mine two days ago on the street for the first time and stripped em. Didn’t do anything. lol.

If it’s the same powdered metal then I don’t see any reason why it won’t go the way of the previous gears. Might as well buy the hardened steel now. 😊

Xrt is awesome it's a far better xxmax for experienced drivers

That’s well said, i do agree with you, the only change i made was Tekno RC M5 Pinion Gear 22t MOD1 5mm bore M5 set screw (TKR4182) & installed the better steering servo from Traxxas. I do light bashing and back yard track, it amazingly handle’s beautiful 😉👍🏽💯i think my Xmaxx probably will sit on shelf for awhile now 🤔

Is it a bit of play in the body where it clips I making it sound like it's slapping really hard?

howbout a bit ofsticky thin foam tape or similarity inside clips.

Prop the car so no wheels are on the ground and run the update with both car n controller on

I always have my temp gun with me ☝️ trust the old school method. Digital temp guns seem to get fooled by anodizing etc way to easily

I agree it's a rlly good truck but the xmaxx in my opinion still superior, the xmaxx has more gearing options, motor options, and the xrt is wider and basically like a kraton, and i still rather the kraton cuz everything in my opinion is still more proven and better designed for modification for the kraton. Xmaxx is also better for suspension, and just after many years of aftermarket support it's alr a very good truck, xrt is a no go for me

How does this even make any sense when tons of the xmaxx parts work on the xrt? Like I'm using an m2c xmax mount on my xrt with a xlx2 and a big fat TP motor. I'm about to order the xmaxx rx relocation kit to change my xlx2 mounting location and all because it's another part built for the xmaxx that works just fine on the XRT.
