Additional comments on loving yourself:
The most important commandment: (3 versions)
Matthew 22:36-40
Mark 12:28-31
Luke 10:25-28
The requirement listed above is to love God with all my heart, all my soul and all my strength and all my mind. And then the 2nd and also equal requirement is to love others and this is hinged on a prerequisite of :
…as I love myself.
And as I genuinely love myself, it would be obvious that it doesn’t have evil in it. God is love and love is pure. So self love would be loving myself in a God honoring way.
And from this, I can then love God with all of me.
And I can love my neighbors.
Some might hear this as selfish act. That would simply be a filter that they applied to this from their human perception of what loving oneself would imply.
It seems impossible for me to fulfill this commandment without first having love, appreciation and value for myself.
Let’s be clear!!
Selfish self love is NOT what I am talking about like it states in 2 Timothy 3:1-5
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”
‭‭
I misspoke about prayer being blocked by Unforgivness. I meant to say unforgiveness can hinders our prayers. (Mark 11:25)

I'm new to the channel, and finding it such a blessing. My husband told me he wanted a divorce three months ago. It's been an agonizing process. As was our marriage. I was recently diagnosed with CPTSD, and the timing for this is perfect. I am interested to see if you have any videos discussing abuse within marriage or talking to couples who have recovered from that. My experience from the church has not been what I've expected. While I'm happy people believe me, want to support me, etc, it almost feels like an overcurrection has people have flat out told me I'm in sin for having stayed in the marriage as long as I did, and in praying for my husband's salvation (he claimed to be saved and seemed to have fruit when we first met) healing, and restoration to the marriage. It's been difficult to have to navigate that line. Id love to hear hope or even just some wisdom from people who have gone before me.

Thank you for this vulnerability. I’m sorry you were told that you are in sin by being with your husband. I don’t know all the details. However that doesn’t seem to align with how I think Jesus would speak to you. I pray Gods divine wisdom over you and your husband and that he opens both of your eyes and hearts toward Him and then toward each other. There is hope. And you are not alone! God bless you!

It absolutely is and the testimony of Chad and his wife and all that the Lord did for them.... they have a restored marriage that led to their ministry too! I'm standing and praying for my prodigal husband, who has had a career in law enforcement as well, after enduring some awful childhood trauma. So very similar to Travis's story! He self admittedly deals with PTSD. Sadly I have been the outlet for his anger and hostility and he pursued a divorce I did not want 2 years ago. We have 7 beautiful children and the spiritual warfare these last few years has been intense! The Lord has protected my heart with His supernatural grace though and I love this man so much. I'm praying, standing and waiting on the Lord. I know He has good plans for our family. Please pray for all of us. Thank you guys! 🙏 ❤🕊️
