They are a hansome looking boat, wish they had them in these parts. Did you keep the Minstrel as well then?

the minstrel in on the drive under a cover - when I am a danger to myself in the dinghy I will sell the fisher - uncover the minstrel and keep her in woodbridge marina as a day boat. The fisher is a tough boat that soaks up bad weather .... but the minstrel sails like big dinghy.

Been looking at one made in 1991, probably in better condition than yours but need a bit of work as well. How much is a fair price for Fisher these days? They are rare in my part of the world. How much fuel burn to be expected?

OH NO, you have let the bodger loose on your boat, whas that a wise decision? ha ha

even bodgers have to do maintenance - 28 year old engine, original 45 year old gearbox. Wiring and plumming and fuel line and cooling water circuit all original The boat has been owned by eight old men - Terrible thing to contemplate. However she now has no diesel leaks, the exhaust hose has been replaced. However, I have had some wonderful sailing out of her and there is more to come. I do not worry too much about ancient diesel related gubbins - I have an outboard ready willin and able the next time the volvo stutters or spurts.
