    Yes, but black has sacrificed a bishop, so white is up a full piece. It is true white loses its castling rights so perhaps there's compensation, but I don't really know if that's the case...

    It's the f7 which is important...not the e7. QxRh1...then W moves Qh5. Next move for W is Qxf7+ ...zugswang Kd8 for Black, >> then the obvious Qf8#. No matter which/what move Black decides after W=Qh5, it's over... even Qd5 won't work, as Bc4 threat is covered by Ne5...so the Black Q must vacate the diagonal after Bc4..or sacrifice herself to prevent Ne5 & Qf7 combo😮. If you think g6 will work..it won't - because of Bd3 and then sacrifice... QxRh1 should NOT have been moved ; "..to take is (often) a mistake..",

    Btw this GM is wrong. Best move after Qh4+ is to just play Kg1 and not g3. Don't believe everything he says, check other masters's words or the engines if you wish.

    Its not as bad as you are making it sound. The best variation is not as practical even though depth 30 stockfish 15 thinks it is +5 and the variation he showed is +4. The g3 variation is much more practical because if the queen takes e4 a queen trade is forced and in every other following variation it is better than king g1 objectively.
