The torque curve is what makes the Viper unique. Almost like a diesel. Pulls in any gear which means it's the most fun on the street. No need for super high revs to make power. AND....more power potential because of massive displacement vs. Coyote or LS competition!

It all ends with price though, I can take a fox body get a ls3 an build it with the best of the best an run a super sized 100+mm turbo and make 1500+hp for what the 750-1000hp viper build would cost, so it never trumped the competition nor is it a clear win, it's about what you like an want to build

@@brandonknox3992 That’s an insane assumption. If it wasn’t for the increasing viper prices it would be way more practical to mod a viper v10; they’re incredibly over built. I’ve seen vipers make 900 hp on stock internals with pretty much only aftermarket fuel rails. (Well, also killed the tranny, but swapped for a dog box)

I'm a Mustang guy by birth but fell in love with the Viper as a Chrysler technician right out of high school "93". I went through Chrysler specific training to earn my degree in automotive technology. The Viper like you said is the ultimate "fuck you" car ever! Raw power, unrelenting torque and none of the BS to interfere with a true driving experience. Looking forward to your videos on both the Mustang and now this Viper.

@@jrag1000 on this gen, yes. The SRT10 (2003 and newer?) gen had ABS & traction control. Before the SRT10 was all raw machine. 96' to 2002 were the best looking vipers exterior wise, imo.

My fav gen Viper hands down! The color/wheels etc!! 👌 Headers/full exhaust, tune, intake, and re-gear! It'll definitely feel faster and still be drivable!!!
