Yeah the 2017 acr is $120,000 but you can find some gems for around $20,000-$50,000 depending on the condition.

@Sharpshooter 02 it has a low production motor and the car is low production overall so no one should really expect a mass production price. it was not meant to be a cheapo muscle car, Gen V ACR ran a 7:01 Nurburgring time. Porsches and Lambos ran faster times but are a lot more expensive, so it still has good price to performance ratio in that regard. also set more than a dozen lap records before it got retired.

Man my whole 90’s childhood I was always obsessed with the vipers. Finally after a decade of slowly saving about 35k to put down on a house I figured yolo, so I finally got me a red/white stripe gen 2 gts 3 years ago. Didn’t have quite enough cash to get a blue/white or an acr but this one popped up local in my area outside of Chicago and I figured it was meant to be. Was definitely worth the wait to meet my hero, plus my dad loves it and gets to drive it whenever he wants since I’m not moving out anytime soon now 😅

the media's narrative killed it: the Gen V has traction control, abs, and stability control, and all of the amenities that a modern road car would have (except for an auto trans) yet "automotive journalists" still describe it as if it was a Gen I Viper. and i won't be surprised if dodge had to nerf it so that it won't eat into Ferrari performance category, that's why bolt-on parts easily improve it's output.

It was before its time. I test drove one in 1990 and thought I went to heaven!!! Dodge should just make it an exotic sports car and sell only 100 a year.

I owned a 2005 viper and daily drove it for ~9 months. From my experience, it never “wanted to kill me” or anything like that. I’ve had way sketchier moments in a 2010 mustang GT stage 3... I think a lot of people who ACTUALLY own/owned a viper would agree that all of the talk about “it wants to kill you” etc.. is false. Or maybe the perspectives of people who think “the viper wants to Kill you” are the same people who buy the viper as their dream car with no prior sport car driving experience...that would make sense. Imagine going from a Acura sedan to a Viper, yeah it’d prob seem scary. 💯

A gen III 2005 is a totally different CAR then Gen I and Gen II, not comparable at all, it's a reason Gen III is not that desirable, but a Gen II and IV is.

I was 6 years old, i was having a bad day after a delayed birthday party in the rain, when i opened one of my presents. And in that present came a yellow dodge viper hot wheels car. When i decided to take it out and throw it across the floor like any proper 6 year old i realized it was the smoothest, most beautifully straight running hot wheels car i had ever laid my hands on. And that's how i decided i wanted a yellow dodge viper, the end.

The Viper died because no automatic transmission was offered. At the time, ALL performance manufacturers were moving away from manuals but Dodge refused to compromise on what they created. It's good and bad.

So we found this porshe Cayman r that was really nice, and I realized that there is a pandem widebody kit for the car. So I did a lil bit or researching on my favorite website cough cough *fitment Industrys and found out that you guys dont have any air sus for the car even though there videos of widebody Caymans with air suspension so I was wondering why it didn't show up on your website and also Sd's website.

biggest reason 4th gen viper suffered in sales compared to corvette was there was no auto option , look at sales figures of corvette auto vs manuals, thats where demand is in sales, everyone talks about wanting manuals but people BUY autos in general..i hope if they ever bring the viper back its with an auto OPTION

everyone knows the viper but i dont think nearly enough people understand how insane of a drivers car it is. you like raw cars like the noble you'd love it, and the few people who've modified the v10 in it, it have pratically unlimited potential only limited by the fact you cant fit a big enough turbo in it
