My hope and prayer is that she knew, and you know, the God in Heaven, that created each of us, && His Son, Jesus Christ, who was & is, the promised Messiah and Savior of mankind. If you don’t, just ask him to reveal himself, and then find a good Bible believing church. Meanwhile, hang in there, find others who have lost their spouse ( empathetic friends ), and don’t ignore your grief. Crying is Gods gift to us, allowing us to process out our grief, pain, and loss. Please forgive me for this long reply! I just deeply understand your pain. Music is also a gift. Absorb the beauty of it deeply. And I will pray that you will still have a Merry Christmas!

This was on the radio the last time I saw my father alive. Christmas...It was night time, and snowing hard. A street lamp lit up his car warming up. Something told me to hug him twice before we headed home that night. He died three weeks later. I always have to pull over when driving late November .....when it comes into rotation on the airwaves- Can't see thru my tears to drive. This happened twenty years ago , but still hits me hard every year. Yet, I love this song. It is Beautiful. Strange how a song can mean one thing to one person, and something polar opposite for another.

One of the last recordings I have of my late wife was Christmas Eve 2019, this song was playing on tv and my wife’s voice called out to our daughter from our bedroom to tell her she had a present for her. Me too Tom! I deal with societal problems everyday at work, and I’m always moved to tears when I hear beautiful, calming music. Reminds me there is still beauty here, albeit few and far between. P.S. Motorsports racing does that too me as well, no joke.

There isn't another song on this earth that sounds so beautiful & relaxing to me than this one. This is a masterpiece! The perfect combo of the childrens choir, the soft piano, & violins. It makes me cry sometimes but it's a good cry. It's difficult to explain.

This was my daughter 's favorite Christmas melody. It has become a major favorite of mine. My daughter passed away 25 years ago and this helps me have a bright memory of her at the difficult time of year

My mom's favorite song. We played this at her funeral May 2020.

My wife adopted this song 🎵 as her favorite Xmas song...I followed suit...I prayed for one more Xmas with her but God had another plan...she passed 10-9-2021 after a seven battle with breast cancer...I shall miss her always...God Bless All Of You...🤧😪🙏

I"m Truely Sorry for you loss, I know how it feels to someone very special and close. I was engaged when I lost my other half as well. I will miss her so very much. It's hard to move on, but, we must for they would not wan t us do that. Best we can do, is never forget them and try to love someone as much as we loved them. I know it's hard, I have done so myself. But, perhaps we should or at least, I should, but, honestly, I don't want too. (Sigh) But, perhaps we might find someone just like the one we lost. Won't know til we try.

I listen to this every Christmas with gratitude. Pachelbel's Canon was already one of the most beautiful songs ever created. Adding these precious, angelic vocals with meaningful lyrics takes it to the top of most beautiful song ever. Every time I listen to it I am moved to tears and no matter what is happening, I feel connection and inspiration. Simply angelic ❤ Merry Christmas!

My Father played Pachelbel's Cannon on his trumpet for my wedding march. He's been gone now for almost twenty years, but whenever I hear this song, I think of him smiling in his white tux, trumpet in hand. Love you and miss you Dad.

My mother would spend Christmas with me and whenever we would drive around I would have the radio on. She loved this Christmas version of Pachebel's Canon. She passed away in 2017. I cry every time I hear this. I miss her so much.

I lost my Beloved Dad 45 years ago and anything beautiful reminds me of his precious soul. I love your memory and I'm so sorry for your loss

My daughter played this just for me at her January wedding right as the ceremony was about to take place, because she knows how much I love it. It really meant a lot and was such a gift.

Because the words mess it up. They ruined the original Canon. I don't even care if adults were singing it. It doesn't need words. That's why I consider this song one of my least favorite Christmas Songs (behind, "The Chipmunk Song").

Mine, too. I first heard this song Christmas morning 1998 as I was celebrating the holiday with my family. My Mother had passed away earlier that year. She loved Christmas. It just has not been the same since without her or my Dad.

Christina Maria me too! My mom passed just before Christmas and was laid to rest on Christmas Eve. I think of her when I hear this and imagine the Angels were singing to her as she entered heaven. Such a peaceful feeling. It brings me tears every time.

My son has been gone 4 nearly 5 years. He played the violin in school, Canon in D minor was his song. It's difficult not 2 get choked up when this song comes on. I did see TSO in 2021, omfg, it brought such peace & warmth. Miss u Pup, sooo ffff'in much💚❤️💚❤️💚❤️

The emotional joy coming from all of them and even the slight smiles some had while playing the violins just added to the care they had in delivering us one of the best Christmas pieces I look forward to listening to every Christmas ❤

Bernie, yes, losing somebody very dear to us is hard. That empty space stays with us for a long time. I personally don't ask God "Why did you take my parents away from me?", because I know that they are in a better place. I look at the stage here, very white and sparkly. Since my parents were strong Christians, now they are enjoying their time in Heaven.

Yes, it's quite a beautiful song, but the point I was trying to make is despite the beauty, it's EXCRUCIATING for cello players. They get none of the fun in the song, just a pattern of quarter notes.

Such a Beautiful Song. The inventor of the Trans Siberian orchestra just passed away recently. He was in his sixties. These are his angels singing to him in heaven.

You're comment is so cute. Cannon in D was written to be performed strictly instrumentally. There were no words written by the composer. Any words added have been made up through the years. So...God love ya, there is very little "REAL" about this version. That being said, this is a lovely and enjoyable interpretation of the Cannon in D.
