I have not used the DJM-T1. Pioneer are renowned for quality and relaibility so as both the mixers are quite new only time will tell. If I was given the option i would go with the Pioneer mixer. j

That's a really nice mixer I did some research on it I'm looking to get one but not now it's a little outta my price range at the moment I love to get one though

i have a z2 and its fantastic. take 2 weeks to learn it through and your set ! make your 10 times more mobile only need the unit and your lappy

I love Native Intstruments. I myself got the Kontrol S4 and F1. great quality, feels intuitive, etc... But yeah, I don't think Pioneer can be beaten.

at work so i cant watch with sound. Can you use the mixer as your audio interface in other programs other than traktor? Like can i hook my studio monitors up directly to the mixer and work in ableton or FL studio usingthe mixer as the interface?

main 3 mixers of this kind, are NI trakor Z2, Rane TTM57SL, Pioneer DJM-T1 all on youtube prices all similar all same tech different software any what to know more I use this kind of tech all the time and I am building my own mixer of this type...

I know it is a matter of preference but what do you prefer Serato or Traktor.? And if you have the time maybe a couple points on why you prefer the product.. I personally use Serato..

Mr Skins.... I want to connect my mixer and 1210's to control some kind of software on my laptop. I can't justify the price of Serato Scratch but would love something like it. M-audio do something similar called Torq. Would you know if its any good or can you suggest any other kit that will do the same job? Cheers aar kid.

Z2 all the way the z2 was designed specifically for the latest software the DJM T1 was designed before the latest software so kinda out of date, but controls can be mapped accordingly to different software function but same is on both...

Hi, what kind of ground wire's need i to use. At the moment i have none. en traktor say's high input and check your ground. witch ground cable do i need en how do i attach it? thanks!

Can you do the same thing (weird camera angle, with mic near the needle) with a real vinyl! so we can listen to "true" vynil sound, youngsters out there don't realize, you will actually hear the tune! :D

alifromcairo But i cant see a pitch fader. This is bullshit. If i play a REAL vinyl and want to mix a track from traktor into it, i need to pitch this one. Am i supposed to do this with the mouse/keyboard?

Schmichso So presumably you think the Rane 61/62 are poor mixers for the same reason? Clearly this mixer, like the others, is designed to sit at the heart of a DVS setup, so your turntables or CD players provide the pitch functionality (and indeed the play/pause buttons the Z2 also doesn't have) you mention. If you don't have them and don't intend to get them, this isn't the mixer for you.

alifromcairo Clearly it isn't. But i relly can't unterstand this move by NI, who are indeed known for DJ controllers, not for mixers. In my opinion they missed a great oppurtunity there. Of course its nice for dj's, who play on a DVS setup, to get rid of the extra cables and the box.

Schmichso it works the smae as a normal mixer but with dvs built in. There is a toggle on the mixer to disengage the dvs so you can switch between control vinyl and real vinyl. i'm buying one!!!

TORQ has been discontinued and its no longer supported, I would NOT reccommend it

That is damn nice... i still dont like the Effects of traktor...
