    Being a old school vinyl DJ who loves to scratch I took the JUMP over to DVS and got a Z2 and I'm loving it! Awesome bit of kit for under £400 including Traktor and 2xtimecode vinyl compared to going the Rane/Serato route.

    I personally like DVS, I really don't feel the difference in tactile feel between a using a vinyl LP over Timecode vinyl. I even prefer DVS over using a CDJ, I'm far from a turntablist, but I like the feel and look of a turntable. What I would like to know. Do any virtualvinyl(DVS) setup, can it reproduce the same level or quality of sound in comparison to a LP?

    I don't think there's a problem with this because you get to save your vinyl but also get the freedom of using your music either thru mp3 or traditional vinyl it gives you more tools for your arsenal.

    Great video! Does anyone know the song he's using near the end of the clip (the looping part)? EDIT: I think I found it: Michelle Weeks -- Don't Give Up (M&S Epic Klub Mix).

    use loop function with flux mode engaged for beatmasherlike effect, giving you more room for other effect use!

    for me, if you got the original Vinyl, just use that instead of Timecode, now if you don't have the record yet and need to play it with a digital then use the timecode, just works for me, but don't get those crappy mp3 compressed downloads, it sound weird when mixing after the vinyl original track.

    I currently have a Hercules RMX with two turntables. I would like to part ways with VDJ. Would you suggest the Z2 over Serato? If I get Z2 I will not have to purchase a new mixer. Thanks for the help!

    I'm a Techhouse/Techno DJ, I play on Techhouse/Techno nights. Whenever there's someone in the crowd who doesn't seem to understand what kind of clubnight he or she just went to, and asks me to play something like Guetta I'd tell them to get lost. Don't tell me you'd ask David Guetta to play a Speedy J track if you had the chance. He'd say the same thing.

    very little actually can go wrong really what J fails to mention that you can play real vinyl on this to as a real mixer the djm nexus-900 has the same tech built in also

    More stuff to go wrong, unfortunately. Nothing beats the feel of a needle on the vinyl though. I don't think I would travel with it but DVS looks ideal for messing about at home.

    But still, Good turntables like Technics costs many many euro. Then you need to buy quite expensive e.g. Native Instruments TRAKTOR SCRATCH A6 or A10, depends on what setup do you want. And we can't forget, that if you don't have a laptop, then it's next 500++ euro.

    I'm new to digital vinyl & the only thing I can see as far as cheating is in turntablism battles, it's now too easy to perform D.j trick's,everyone is now a overnight dope D.j/me myself from learning and using vinyl for yrs,I love traktor scratch and being able to have all my music on a laptop vs. digging threw crates or having to carry records to a gig it's good for real D.js #Traktor over Serato#A More Realistic Sound#Reaction#Feel Like Real Vinyl...Peace!...

    Traktor is the future DVS & vinyl the perfect mix if true dj Skill and creativity this is how setup should be not on cdjs there to easy midi in the mixer not the decks scratching an a CDJ jog is crap

    Only way i can see is its cheating is if you use the sync button.Even then if your being creative which traktor scratch pro allows you to do in so many ways when you start using the f1 and so on.I wouldn't call it cheating.Check people like ean golden out.

    You can buy technics for 400 quid and do them up, this mixer for 600 pounds, and you'd need a laptop for the cdjs too. Meaning this is about 1000 quid compared to the 4000 you'd spend on cdjs. I know what's better value there.

    You can not say that someone will never be a good dj all because they don't like david gueta i hate david gueta because he's a shamble of a dj i seen one of his sets and he was pretending to mix one track into another although one of the cdj's were switched off there's tons of music i hate dosn't mean im not a good dj just means i play events that fit my music style no one is a bad dj the only kind of dj that is bad are the ones that pretend to mix aka david gueta.

    "If you can not have some appreciation for all types of music and artist you will never be successful." I agree with you on appreciation for all types of music, but i disagree with you on the artists part. I do not believe that i should appreciate some artist that I think has no talent. I will say no to playing talent-less assholes. (this is completely unrelated to GUETA)

  • @everybodyhertz
    @everybodyhertz11 жыл бұрын

    Horse Shit. You can easily say "Sorry, I don't play that." As a DJ, yes, you're supposed to keep the crowd happy, but YOU'RE in charge of the music ultimately. If someone asks me for Guetta, I won't play it, but that doesn't mean I can't play something that someone who likes David Guetta would like.
