Trains at Slough, Great Western Mainline | 12/05/16

There's just something great about busy stations, where trains pass through the platforms at high speed. & Slough is one of them. With two fast services an hour to London meaning people actually wait on the fast line platforms, it can get quite busy on the platform at times and seeing some peoples reactions to HST's passing at 125mph can be quite entertaining. This is one of the reasons Slough is one of my favourite stations to film at on the Great Western network. I haven't actually stopped and filmed here for some time, so while I was in the area thought I'd take an hour out and do some filming.
INCLUDES: Great Western HST's at speed! & Turbos, Freightliner 66 and a DB Schenker class 59!

me and my friend saw the green HST leaving Swindon for London paddington
Watch out for the fast class 166 passing Platform 2 GWR, the horn is high.
Perhaps in the sun, that "GWR" livery doesn't look quite so bad, or maybe it just looks better on the Turbos.

+TheJet Jock Well for the gantries.There's still a lot of places with no wires and still huge gaps without any gantries either. Still got a while yet before they're done.

When is the electrification going to be finished? And when are the Hitachi's entering service? It's surprising that the western railway still uses diesel.

the new class 800's come into service next year, then the new fleet following on a few years years later!
the thing I think to make you trainspotting videos more interesting is to get the drivers to toot you

No, only as far as Cardiff

No the line to Penzance isn’t electrified and there is currently no plan to electrify that far down
