Training like JACKIE CHAN For 7 Days

Спорт

I tried 22 different training exercises that Jackie Chan does in movies and in real life. I also ranked them based on how crazy and difficult each one of them is.
Jackie Chan is one of the most famous martial arts movie actors of all time.

Welcome to the Martial Arts Journey KZread channel!
My name is Rokas. I'm a Lithuanian guy who trained Aikido for 14 years, 7 of them running a professional Aikido Dojo until eventually I realized that Aikido does not live up to what it promises.
Lead by this realization I decided to make a daring step to close my Aikido Dojo and move to Portland, Oregon for six months to start training MMA at the famous Straight Blast Gym Headquarters under head coach Matt Thornton.
After six months intensive training I had my first amateur MMA fight after which I moved back to Lithuania. During all of this time I am documenting my experience through my KZread channel called "Martial Arts Journey".
Now I am slowly setting up plans to continue training MMA under quality guidance and getting ready for my next MMA fight as I further document and share my journey and discoveries.

Ever the saw the movie of jackie called painted faces 1988? Next video try standing in hand stand for two hours, making kick up for 300 times or one arm summersault two hundred times, then we gonna go if jackie did this stuff real or not. I doubt you find a peking opera teacher in europe but maybe try lion dance this should bring you on your limits for sure too. Maybe think of making negative chin up bars, that is like i started too.

I just wanted to clarify something. That wasn't a giant pointy stick when he was doing the horse stance. That was a large sized incense stick. The kind they use in temples. He's supposed to hold the stance until the stick burned all the way down and not slack off by sinking to a squat or his butt would be burned by the tip. 😂

On the point of horse stance, iron leg and iron body qi gong are incredibly difficult and require you to hold stances for over an hour for basic training. I used to practice the ⁸ brocade and the warm-up for that was 15 minutes of low stances, including 5 exclusively in horse, stance in that position. One minute isn't very impressive for those who havetried the harder stuff. And my personal best was thirty minutes in full horse stance

#7 Jackie is parallel to the floor while your thighs and abs are at a…120 degree angle…not 180 😁. Love the content 👍. Try facing the wall w handstand pushups. I think it would more closely mimic what Jackie does. Extended arm pushups? 😊 pushups on wrists are impressive.

rokas underestimates jackie chans martial arts training, besides his opera training he has a strong foundation in hung gar, so he has to be able to at least stand in horse stance for 30 minutes to up an hour. Yes standing is used in prisons for torturing, but the kung fu version is for training proper breathing and to toughen the muscles cause beeing forced to tense their muscles in a static position for an elongated time make their muscles incredibly hard and thus hung gar guys tend to be very tough to hurt. Theoretically you could get similiar results with a high repetition, i once did experiments on myself with doing deadlifts with fourty kg in high repetition cause of some fitness room war stories of a guy everyone held for crazy at his gym. And well my back got hard as iron, but in my opinion the muscle layer kept still beeing too small for an effective protection like say a base ball batt at the lower back.

A few notes: I wouldn't call the sit up or the lalane pushups completed, koodos for trying though. And Jackie Chan definitely did the pushups, that's why they zoomed out, to play with audience expectations (for what my degree in film studies is worth) . And he certainly really lifted the person by himself, Jackie Chan was a calisthenics beast in his prime.

Bowl you're using seems too light & plastic. The ones used in JC movies are very traditional/classic porcelain bowl, they are slightly heavier & easier to maintain stability when do the snake fist dance. The pointy stick is joss stick. 😂 The real pain from it is the burning contact. Do Bruce Lee training next!!! Looking forward the EMP shock & table lifting from you.
