I'm glad they finally made him Superman. For the longest time, the producers had a saying: "No tights or flights."

I love when he is learning off the windmill, you see he sort of does a second boost of thrust showing it wasn't just a jump. I also love that they used the exact same "whoosh" sound effect the use when he appears in a room

He won't hurt himself if he falls, so there's no point in not trying.

Matt Price he’s scared of heights though 😂 it’s all a mental fear. The only times he’s flown is when he’s not conscious of it that seriously shows how easy it is for him 🤣 someone should help him try and meditate or something.

It's not just mental fear, it's the rejection of his Kryptonian heritage. His mentality is that of human with limited views and perspective. You can test this easily to imagine yourself flying, but you will somehow with your own personal experience that you will keep falling down. That's the reality side of you keep dragging you down even in your own imagination.

The way they fly is through a force field same as if they run that’s why they can carry humans in super speed without them breaking every bone due to air resistance

That flight thing was such a drag, it became silly. Toying with the idea, just to rush it in the last episode. He could have flown for a season without necessarily becoming Superman. The show would have been much more satisfying.

@@clarkkent-vf6bk Tom Welling only played Clark Kent on Smallville. He became Superman at the very end of the final episode. Watch the series and you’ll see that. Not sure how else to explain it. It’s pretty straightforward

The idea is we hear it as English in the show so that we understand them, but they are actually speaking Kryptonian. Literally so many movies and TV shows do this.
