I met him, and his son, at a cinema where I used to work .He’s a really nice guy. So far I’ve met 3 Marthas, 2Jonathans, 2 Perrys, 1 Cat Grant, 1 Lana, Non, and watched Curse of the Were/Rabbit behind Chloe and her friends.

I think, the reason clark floated in that moment with lois, is because he was completely in a state of bliss. He wasn't worried about anything, he had no stresses, he wasn't thinking about his responsibilities, just, in that moment, he was completely free of everything and just felt happy. And that was the key.

Interesting i always go back to that moment when Clark tells Jonathan that if he could fly it met he was no longer human as the reason why he couldnt fly, all his life on heart all he wanted was to be nornal, normal to aproach the girl he likes without falling, normal to play futebol, every single instinct he had was either supressed by him or his parent. Think for example riding a bicycle the reason why everyone fails it because our brains cant process the though of riding something on two wheels, but the moment u get the balance even for a splint second it never goes away and instead becomes muscle memmory, so something u coulndt do a minute ago know is something u carry for the rest of your life no matter what.

@@LilXancheX Of course not but it was a recuring theme on the show, the fact that he had vertigo, but once u see the true Kara episode she explains that the one keeping Clark from flying was himself, his insecurity or the struggle he had to accept he wasnt a normal human and it wasnt his parents, or his friends but someone he truly loved that accepted him for what he is that allowed Kent to finaly fly, no more doubts, no more secrets.

The chemistry between the cast in this show is legendary.

Smallville wasn't about Superman, but Clark Kent learning how to become Superman. Throughout the entire series, in every season, Clark was always learning something new about himself, understanding his true identity. Then on the last episode he learned his greatest power and flew up to save the world and then became Superman.

He wouldn't fly because Tom Welling the actor didn't want to be on wires every episode ("no flights") and he was bow-legged with chicken legs, so no suit ("no tights") ... Superboy could fly in the comics. Plus, the budget kept getting cut as the ratings went down and flying costs way more to film

They wasted 10 seasons to let us down. No flight and no tights was stupid. Tom was a chump. Should have casted someone who actually wanted to be superman. Then to make it worse, on crisis he gives his powers away and lets everyone die. Doesn't even try to save his wife and kids. Such a douche.

It's pretty clear to me why Clark couldn't fly. Flying like all abilities is in the mind. From all of the Kryptonian's who visited Smallville, we know that they don't let emotions (doubt, insecurity, guilt) override their judgement and reason. Clark is a Kryptonian who was raised human. All he's ever known is doubt, insecurity and guilt and it weighed him down. Lois is the person who finally got him to let go of all of it, which is why he can fly. I love the way the writers addressed the flying!

By far the best Clark\Lois combo in history.

Oliver was explaining how Clark need Lois, and Clark HAVING Lois finally leads to him being able to fly. It was sort of foreshadowing the fact that Lois will help him become Superman.

This show had the best cast, from Clark to Lois to Kara to Oliver to Lana...all amazing

And Lex was just the best Lex ever

The look on John Schneider's face just sells that whole moment. He's completely shocked, and for a brief moment he tries to hide it...but Clark doesn't need X-ray vision to see through that.

For me, even the Flash here is cuter and more comic-book like. The 3 Legion members from the future who visited Clark were all better actors and were better looking than some actors I've seen in bigger roles. Smallville is a well of talent. Tom, Erica and Hartley should be doing tons of movies...

How easily Clark could have ended up like the kid from Brightburn. It is because the Kents were supportive and understanding of their son. The Breyers were fearful.

No the Breyers had a super powered psychopath while the Kents did not have a psychotic child to deal with. Those are the key differences even in Bright burn where the mother was willing to protect the child which she should not have because her husband was right her life got ended as well and their child harmed people on purpose. Clarke is different in terms of nature and characteristics he never went out of his way to harm and maim others so the Kent were mostly just shocked, surprised and scared for their son that they loved and knew he is a sweet boy who grew up into a sweet man.

Man this show was everything that was good, the show made it’s mark in the tv history

This isn't "Clark learns to fly", this is "Clark does not fly"!

This was such a great show! It reinvented the Superman mythos and brought the character to a new generation! We needed this show right after 9/11 to help calm our fears and make us believe in ourselves again! Now, especially with tonight's events in the Middle East that might just determine the future of our planet, now more then ever we need to believe in ourselves and that we were meant to exist together on this planet in peace! Here's to believing that a man can fly, life will always go on and all our dreams and aspirations will be fufilled!✌

Clark, at 2:03 , just did not understand at that time he IS KAL-EL. The way he is at that moment. He is Superman.

The most frustrating thing about that series was that, although Clark only gradually developed and learned how to use his powers, which makes sense, half the population of Krypton survived the explosion, made their way to Earth, and were instantly in full control of all their powers, including flight, the instant they set foot on this planet. That made no sense.

not half the population one Army base worth of clones, clone Lar-El, Zor-El, & Joe-El they even thought seasons 3 & 4 point out the El house ( family) had bean visiting earth for years studying the by their standards primitives. knowing of sutch studies dose explain why with your season 5 opener the 2 soldiers responding to the beacon fortresses core crystal sent out when it was covered in blood that was neither Krytonian or that of a chosen guardian had no issue adjusting as they had access to a database that covered Earth & the power's their race would have on it.

The showrunners said, in the unaired pilot, they used a different actress, Cynthia Ettinger as Martha Kent, she was supposed to be a city girl who would be scared of the things Clark could do. You can see her scenes online. I wish they had Martha kinda scared of what Clark was capable of.
