He was like an indestructible machine. Wish mma guys really worked at this stuff more...thai sweeps are amazing for mma clinch game.

@@bloemuit5255 I think some principles are similar, but the philosophies differ. Muay thai sweeps are really like strong lowkicks to the post leg. Muay thai trips and sweeps are more about strength I feel, and they use few reaping motions. Judo had way more hip to hip and reaping style takedowns.

I suppose it's a different era back in the old style it was literally training to fight for your life so fighters where put through hell as opposed to training for a prolonged professional career. I suppose it comes down to what you training for if you want skills you have to apply once or twice at full capacity in a lifetime or are you training for a professional career. Personally I love the old school badass way because I train for combat. Unfortunately I live in a extremely crime ridden country with a very high murder rate so these skills come in handy in my circumstances but I suppose if you going to be a pro maybe somebody who has a stop button might be a better option lol 🙏😎💪

@@hermessanchez7955 hitting pads is not an easy job at all. It takes a lot of time to condition your shins and hands to take those strikes, and thats not something you can do in a day or two. And this man has been doing muay thai ever since he was eight years old. Do you think you have a chance against him in a fight? A newbie like you or me would get smoked in an actual fight with a thai fighter.

He teaches Muay Thai for a living man, he spars with high level pros all the time and teaches them. People go to him for a reason, he's not teaching kung fu or bullshido. Now obviously you can't always pull those sweeps with a 100% accuracy in a fight or in sparring, but that doesn't mean its wrong to teach these people the proper techniques so they get good at them. Sweeps are actually fairly easy to pull off in sparring and in fights after you drill them well enough, I've been putting people on their asses for a while now.
