Train Simulator Classic: Rail Express Systems Postal Pack | First Look

Rail Express Systems (RES) was formed in the 1980s as part of British Rail’s Sectorisation Scheme. They were responsible for handling and transporting Mail and Parcels across the British Rail Network on behalf of Royal Mail. They were also subject to charter work on behalf of Intercity and other touring companies, as well as haulage of the Royal Train.
Alan Thomson Simulation, in Collaboration with Imbue Studios, presents the Rail Express Systems Postal Pack (RES pack). The pack includes 5 different coaches that were used by RES, along with an enhancement of the Class 47.
In this video we take a look at the pack in detail along with covering one of the included scenarios utilising the Propelling Control Vehicle (PCV) which was a batch of converted ex Class 307 Units.

Sorry Tom mate we haven’t used any models from the Mk1 pack all the artwork is ours from scratch The AP pack is for sounds and some scripts

Oh fair play. I wasnt sure if the underframe was part. Thanks for clarifying that. Even better value for money in my eyes there then!
Related to this I have the DTG 325 and saw AP have their sale on so was thinking of getting their upgrade pack for it, is it a good one? Also the mail depots like you were in at the start, are they a standard TSC thing or do they come as part of some scenery pack? I’m quite new to TSC as you may remember so thanks for bearing with me 😊

If you are a fan of mail transportation then certainly pick it up whilst the sale is on :) The mail terminal on this video is detailed as standard for the route i believe. I dont think any extra scenery was placed for the scenario itself. However scenario developers sometimes do add extra scenery in scenarios :)

I have thoroughly enjoyed using the pack since release, im sure you will enjoy it too!. Graphic settings are set to full where possible. PC specs are the channel description.

Is this easy to install ? Or the usual right pain and probably won't appear in the game. Sorry for the negativity but haven't had good experiences with things from Thompson.

Very easy runs via the ATS installer. Takes around 1 min or so
