I hope they eventually add individualized sounds for the different locomotives. I'd love to hear the big, heavy chuff of a larger engine being distinct from the lighter sounds of the small boys.

The T 22 has southern valve gear! WHAT! There is only one other loco that has it!

As you were flying along the tracks, you didn't mention the biggest visual addition.. telegraph/signal poles!

Been loving this game! Also very much appreciate your content. I didn't even know there was an update til i ran across this.

The only thing I can say that I really really want to see railroader devs do is I want to see them go further into the diesel. And I want to see him go further back into the steam locomotive. Like I want to see some like eureka looking locomotives and stuff like that. But I also want to see some of the more modern diesels as well

The dev team has stated that diesels won’t be added, or looked at, in any capacity until after 1.0 release. Modders are working on some, but will be a while before we see them

GOD YES!!!!!!! THE 2-10-2 IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wait for if they add a 4-8-2 then my reaction will be even crazier.

Personally I'm partial to the Texas 2-10-4 but this should still be a pretty good puller!

Just got the update and am loving what little I’ve encountered so far. Graphics are much improved.

Wow…I’m gonna have to get back on the PC I guess! The dev teams have been busy! REALLY good news about the graphics settings. I noticed how the grass on even its highest level when panning the camera around it seemed to have a circular radius around the viewer where it would draw the grass at a higher setting than the rest and as you moved it would pop in from a lower res to higher res which was annoying. This team is top notch. I’m 100% sure in time assets will be added as they’ve got plenty of room around the rails themselves to add such items and also upon opening a rolling stock door you’ll actually be able to see the cargo loaded in a said car. I’d also like to see a one-stop-shop for being able to see locomotives (and rolling stock as well) for perhaps three visual models, stock, weathered and heavily weathered. You know, all the oil and grime associated with real locomotIves and rolling stock, but particularly the locomotives. Just choose a visual filter and click on it and wham - they all change their appearance accordingly. I could see perhaps the lines expanding into the Norfolk & Western routes. Whoa. Talk about your heavy coal drags. I bet in a years time we won’t even recognize the map anymore there will be so much stuff added to it! Thanks for the awesome vid here at kudos to the dev team! Imagine how immersive this is gonna be a year or two from now! Great video update!

So glad they added a southern f-1(the t-22) my all-time favorite steam locomotive. I'll probably have a few of these when I finally get the game.

Love the update, definitely runs much smoother than it has. Love the 2-10-2 and I cannot wait to use it; my only gripe is that I loved the C-55 2-8-0 the way it was, but at the same time, I do like the LS&I consolidation

You need to make a railroader playlist so we can binge watch your play through 😂

waiting F7A and F7B and we can own custom liveries for ur own railways like fonts etc ex:- like BN have green and white stripes etc

Wow did I have a treat trying to get the update to work with a handful of my mods... it crashed and burned about 6 time trying to open, then I disabled all the mods, still crashed. Opened it in sandbox mode, it half loaded, 1 camera would work 0 camera wouldn't, it insisted I place a train that it said wasn't on a track, even through it was parked on the main before, claimed the track changed. Then I reopened company mode and it deleted my C55 consolidation, but kept the tender... AND went back in time to apparently an older save file, that I had deleted. Looks like a lot of the mod updated files worked, but I it was already 4 am and I wasn't going to mess with it anymore. I hope I don't have to completely rebuild.

One thing you didn't mention in this video is you need to maintain a supply of parts for overhauls, and you transport those parts on company owned Boxcars.

5:13 seems the terrain is a bit low there or the water is a bit high

Yes, most rivers in the TS and here looked more like canals than actual rivers. So that's a small but important improvement. 3 new industries, but no buildings??

It looks like their still working on existing infrastructure, like the paper mill in Sylva. They'll get around to it in the next update, I'm sure

@@kleetus92if you’re accidentally damaging your locomotives/rolling stock by going too fast I think it counts against your safety rating even if you don’t derail.

@@ryanjones4106 I could understand that, but all of my equipment is rated at 100% So if it's doing damage, I don't know where it's indicating or tabulating it from.

So, playing for the first time after the update, the headlight "bulb" on my C55 is still on the nose of the boiler like it was pre-update. But, the rest of it is on top like in this video, post update. Any idea on how to fix it?

I'm just looking at this with a n=view to possible purchase as a lover of steam engines. Can you tell me, does the game progression enforce the need to go to diesel, or can a player stay with steam without detriment?

You can very much stick to steam. The Berk actually out-pulls the diesels. The trade off is that there's more fuel management with steamers.

Go under orders, you'll see manual, yard and road. click road, set a direction and speed... CHOO CHOO!!! Yard will allow you to couple into cars and shuffle them around without you having to run the throttle all the time.
