Hey I’m having a lot of trouble with the reverser! Can you help me please. Where can I find the manual for that because I looked up on google and people said to hit shift+R and then I tried that and it did not work at all! Another recommendation people said was to have the Generator Field off enable for it to move or something like that? If that sounds right. Anyways I tried that and it didn’t work either. I just bought this and it seriously looks really cool! I am on the first scenario Empty East something like that, and I can tell we’re gonna have to be starting the train every scenario, it looks and sounds realistic! Realistic horn and stuff gives this train that realistic feeling. Anyways though if u can guide me through on what’s going on here with what I’m doing wrong with the Reverser or know why it’s not working at all when I’ve tried those 2 techniques

Sounds like you're running the game in 32 bit?

Best loco ever but been driving the BN SD40-2 since I picked it up. Need lots more compatible rolling stock, like car carriers, and center beam types.

Just on thing...don t forget to start that on 64 bits without that it won t work

How do you get the DPU units to work. I got the Lead and Trail to work but not DPU?

How do I put the reverser in the reverser slot? I am a keyboard player btw

Run the game in 64-bit as it says in the operating manual. It won't work in 32-bit.

@@darianw1749 If you go into Steam Library and right click the game, there should be an option for 64-bit.

I have a question, when clicking on the reverser or doing Shift + R it wont insert, anyway I could fix this issue/problem?

Your probably in 32 bit you need the 64bit

I mentioned that in trains that are conventional (e.g; not DP'd), with 3 of them putting 100klbs down, you're at 300klbs. You always have to consider your additive power of each consist in your train. This is why there is RPA and RDBA limits in the rules. (Rated Powered Axles, and Rated Dynamic Braking Axles)

@@thetrainshop that is still not 1 unit putting down 300klbs. I don't think any locomotive in North America is capable of that. I know most AC GEs go up to about 180klbs Also, slack causes knuckles (unless the knuckle is defective).

@@mr.meatshower2756 i never said one unit putting down 300klbs in the tutorial. And yes, draft force slack is what get knuckles, but if you overload them, they can break too. Happens all the time. Plenty of Iron Range boys will tell ya that Notch 4 was fine starting a train, but 5 is when they got a knuckle. The overload knuckle is almost guaranteed to be within the head 10 cars.

@@thetrainshop Ah,the wording you chose at 2:20 made it sound like that to me. At Big Red, they never tell you to "times it by X amount of locos on the H/E", but more of "what this unit is doing, the second one is doing" which really is the same idea, just different wording. Its because of this, only two AC units are only allowed to be online together, and to disperse the online units if possible (i.e. 4 on the H/E, have 1 and 4 online and 2 and 3 Iso'd). It's more so that you don't roll the rail than it is for knuckles.

@@mr.meatshower2756 ah, yes yes. Same idea, different phrasing. String lining is also definitely a risk you can have when running high powered units.

The interior of my CP looks like the default one and not like this.
