Good choice! I had a Corvette C6 Z51 for a year and I sold it. I bought a BMW M6 Competition convertible and 3 years later, I still drive it lol

you need traction in MDM mode and comfort suspension. or just run 60-130 like a normal person. you don't want to hook this car. expensive stuff starts breaking.

Power!

To bypass parked rev limiter, put into drive and wait till it engages. Then shift into neutral. Now your limiter is gone. I own a 2015 M6 and absolutely love it!

Coming back to this video a year later.. If anybody is getting one of these as a first car, please be very careful. They are much more powerful and faster than they seem. 600hp to the rear wheels will bite you fast.

You need to use launch control. My tuned 650 Gran Coupe does 4.09 with Launch control.

thank you so much! I use a dragy for both. for $150 you can get the hardware which is basically a gps and it comes with an app that you hook it up to for the videos and times

It's a dual-clutch, not an automatic. It doesn't brake torque. All you are doing is slipping the clutches. Use actual launch control - there are instructions in the iDrive on how to so it.

​@@ChozenNYC The instructions are in the owners manual which can be viewed in the iDrive in the car. Basically: 1. DSC must be completely switched off 2. Gearbox should be in Manual mode AND the fastest shifting mode, 3, so S3 (Sequential 3) 3. Drivemode/Engine mode in Sport or Sport Plus You can set the M1 or M2 shortcut buttons to do that if you like. Once those conditions are met, and the car is warm, press the brake pedal with the left foot, and then press the throttle all the way down with the right foot, and a message on the dashboard will display "Launch Control Active". If the message does not display, it did not activate launch control and you will then be slipping the clutches, so stop immediately. They are a little bit fiddly, mostly due to how hard or soft you press the brake pedal. Also, they have an "easter egg" burnout mode, which is what happened at 10:42 in this video. With DSC off, if you take your foor off the brake and hit the throttle pedal all the way to the floor - hit the kickdown - it will raise the RPM and then dump the clutch. It's fun, but these cars bite 🙂

Because when i hear drop the clutch i think a literal manual car , for A DCT idk what that means since its the same format as an automatic but internally manual if yu know wat i mean!

I'm thinking about trading my '13 M5 for a Z06, but having a hard time doing it, as I love my M5!

I never owned it actually, but yea unfortunately most BMW’s can be rough on maintenance once you get up there in miles

You can't brake boost a car that physically doesn't have an automatic transmission lmao. There's literally no torque converter in this car for your to load force INTO. Gotta use normal launch control! For all realistic purposes this car is a manual and your only option to launch is a clutch dump. I have an F80 M3, and just took delivery of an F13 M6. The M6 is sick!!

The corvette is not gone for good, just a temporary trade!

The m6 does actually have launch control but I couldn’t figure it out. The owner told me how to do it yesterday. Maybe I’ll make an update video

The launch control is activated after hold the brake fully and basing it fully, but if u turn the car off n push the gas completely down there is like a button that’ll click behind the pedal if u push it down alllll the way, so when u brake and gas but push that button with ur foot the launch active signal will come up on the dash .sorry for long explanation but it’s hard to explain how there’s a button behind the pedal that u push the pedal to click loll
