Eventually we might start making our titles super click-baity and making people wait forever to get the information they need just so we can have extended watch time and you can see more advertisements. Oh actually that sounds terrible. We will never do that.

@@MeridianMedia you can even add a logo intro and designate a 5 minute block extoling the virtues of Square Space or League of Legends just to warm up your audience. lol. Honestly I clicked because you included "1-Minute Tutorial" in the thumbnail. Congrats on being at the top of the search queue

Hello, love this thank you. I have a question not sure you can help. I was trying to add text to a full screen, but my video was from the width/size of like an Instagram story post. Is there anyway to use it or does the video have to match the size screen I need to use

Can you please explain how to move the footage inside the text? When I try to edit position in the video 2 clip , it moves the text itself for some reason

Hey! You need to drag a transform effect and an offset effect and place them above the Track Matte effect. This video explains it nicely: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nGan0seNh7yeZ8o.html

Why does this not work for me? I've done it precisely as shown and ... nothing. Inversing more has the effect of just turning it entire off or entirely on, but the black/white mask .png import seems to have no impact when used as the luma key track at all.

Okay I see it... it's way off screen because (I assume) it's tracking... what I need is a mask that's permanently in one specific place no matter what the masked video's placement is... the footage is highly variable and I need to be able to center the subject in the masked area.

@@Valjurai Thank you for your comments! I'm glad to hear you caught the nod to Maine-I always enjoy incorporating elements from viewers' home states! Regarding your latest observation about the mask moving off screen, it sounds like you might benefit from using a fixed position mask. Here’s what you can do: Create a Fixed Mask: Instead of using a track matte that moves with your video, create a mask that stays static throughout your clip. You can do this directly in Premiere Pro using the ‘Effect Controls’ panel: • Apply the ‘Opacity’ effect to your clip. • Use the ‘Ellipse’ or ‘Rectangle’ tool to draw a mask around the area you want to keep visible. • Ensure the mask is set to stay in one place by unchecking any keyframes that might cause it to move. These steps should help you create a stable masked area for your variable footage. If there's anything else you need, just let me know!

Alas, @@MeridianMedia, it's a no go. There are no keyframes; I just get media off an SD card in the midst of a hectic conference and the speaker is never in the same place twice, so I have to drag the media x,y around to recenter them... and it keeps dragging the box mask with it, which is driving me absolutely insane. I can't find anything to uncheck to prevent it. I just need a box in the lower corner that defines the mask, completely unlinked from the thing it's masking
